Kersbrook invited everyone from it's B grade dynasty of flags from 93-97 in it's 97 'A' grade premiership reunion. 5 years in a row was pretty special for Kym Pearce's troops, and not many people can say they played in 5 in succession, regardless of the grade.

Uraidla 9.15 Ironbank 4.6 - Another insipid Ironbank performance.

Uraidla continues unbeaten run (now 12 wins from 12 matches) against Ironbank since they came back into Div 1 back in '02.

Wow Ted some great facts for all the history buffs out there. Did you rush home straight after the game to post this useless bit of information ?

I would have most on this site would have wanted to hear about Uraidlas performance to beat an insipid opposition by 39 points.

Useless? Pretty impressive stat in my eyes TDU. The only useless thing abou the stat is the opposition the stat was created against.

Not much to talk about in terms of yesterdays game. Game was over half way through the 1st quarter. You'd think a side playing for a finals birth would put up more of an effort than you blokes did yesterday. The two times I've watched Ironbank this year they've been soft at the footy and attack the man rather than the ball. Yesterday was no different.

DA I think Super B's got up by 78 pts or there abouts against Bridgey who kicked the first 3 goals of the match in heavy conditions. After an enormous amount of rain the last few days before Sat the oval had no chance of holding up and ended up being an old fashioned wet weather slog.

Would be interested to hear how the other ovals ended up by the end of the A's at other grounds.

Save the trash talk you idiot. Ironbank insipid yes, but attacking the man what a joke. Perhaps you could have been back at the Uraidla clubrooms having a beer with the players like we were instead of jumping on the computer. No annomosity between the players. The only bloke starting trouble on the field was the fat uraidla bloke with the small mullet and it resulted in your CHB back being sent off. The size and skill of Uraidla easily beats our players in the heavy conditions, but it is also for that reason that Lofty will run all over Uraidla. Strong bodies are good in the wet but it has to be balanced with speed in the dry.

Re: Hills Football League

Postby Cougar » Tue Aug 05, 2008 1:43 pm

With speculation of neighbouring Country Clubs expressing interest in joining the Hills Football League, could it be possible that the Hills could expand to 3 divisions. This would eliminate a lot of the 'Blow Out' scores we currently see in both Country and Central Divisions. Reckon these 3 divs would make competitive footy and in probable finishing order.

Zone 1
Mt.Lofty
Uraidla
Blackwood
Mt.Barker
Hahndorf
Onka Valley
Ironbank
Kangarilla

Zone 2
Kersbrook
Torrens Valley
Echunga
Birdwood
Meadows
Bridgewater
Nairne Bremer
Lobethal

Zone 3
Blackwood Twos
Callington
Aldinga
Mt.Barker Twos
Maccelsfield
Gumeracha
Sedan-Cambrai
Milang

Due to geographical reasons this is unlikely to happen, but all 3 zones would produce far better scorelines than we are seeing in Hills Football at the moment. Any thoughts........??
