So did I.
An old collegians team would be pretty handy though, with some of the players that went there.

Its all about the A grade not the B's

You idiot - jealousy is obviously a curse.

Yes everyone wants to win A grade flags, and the Dev's have won the last 2 and are looking a chance again this year. So the Super B boys are entitled to get pumped to win one themselves.

Perhaps read your posts before posting comments that make you look like a dumbass.

Good point efc. South should have, damn Bays.
You should all be supporting your A grade but also think if both grades are going well then they should be excited about both.

efc, you have missed the point. BOTH of OUR senior sides are in with a great chance of making a GF, so we're entitled to get excited about both.

If our A's were shite, but our Supers were dominating, you'd have a point, but both senior sides are up there.

Keep diggin though.

Dashin if you consult the rule book ill think you will find it is not a 30m penalty because the umpire can't count, but rather the fact the umpire can pay either a 25m or 50m penalty based on the severity of the free kick! It is a black spot of the HFL rules and i believe needs to be adjusted to one or the other but at the moment that is the way it stands!!!

When micky taylor explained this to us as a playing group earlier in the year at one of our trainings, we all said we thought that it needed to be adressed...

So far on Footy Forum I have read the best umpire is, Raymond, McDonald, Smith, Taylor (he also makes the worst list), and now Clifton! I thought all umpires were bad!

I didn't go to Blackwood last week but I reckon you blokes are being a bit tough on Blackwood. Correct me if I'm wrong but the rules allow a captain to ask for a count, if the officials stuffed things up don't blame the Blackwood Football Club.

The players who played in it, the players of the opposing side and the supporters all care.
That's a piss poor attitude not caring about a side from your club winning a flag.

special one: must admit, i dint know about the rule that u get a free after the count is wrong, but the ump said "thats a free kick to the lofty captain, and a 50"... ah well shit happens, never suprised when umps fk a game up... on to nxt week we go....

dont think anyone whos ever played footy would sneeze at any premiership, to say a b grade means less to the people who play in it is just stupid. and mate at lofty we support the whole club not just the A's, and we're going for our 10th hills flag in 4yrs..

Rack'o, I'm going going to sneeze my Super B Gradedness on your Super B gradedness and keep the winning disease at the Devs so these dumbass wankers from who cares where will never win anything.

I still have about 15 pint sized cans of Carlsberg to smash if you can make it over here by Friday morning. Get on it big fella.

I don't think any of them will trouble the higher vote getters but a couple might poll a few. Greg Hanton and Paul Lowe have had pretty good years.

Tommy "The Widow Maker" Matoga would probably give him self a good chance of snaring it!!!

To be honest, I don't even know why they have a B grade competition, it is such a waste of time. Should just be a squad of 40 blokes training and the top 21 get selected each week.
For that matter, we really could cut the under 14 comp and just run the 17's as no one cares about the 14 boys. If we are going to get out the microscope, doesn't the under 12 and 10 comps just feed the 14's? Scrap it!
There should only be AFL, no other flags count!

Postby 2 Old 2 Slow » Fri Aug 01, 2008 2:46 pm

WOW what a week in football (to steal the great mans line, sorry ED!) been away for a few days & look what's been going on!!!

Drama's at Windy Hill in the 2's game heh... seems fairly well deliberated already so I am not going to add my two bobs worth, but will say that this is easily rectified... the captain should have to advise the umpires & approach the timekeepers & as a consequence have the clock stopped (just for the duration of the count). I know we dont play time-on etc. but how often does this happen, and if it is soo close to effecting the outcome of the game then it should be treated equally as important... It only takes a couple of minutes & who really cares if the A-grade kicks off a few minutes late (obviously the joker who posted earlier "who cares about the B-grade"... but we'll get to that Oxford scholar in a minute). The bigger picture here is that there are ways to run the clock down in B-grade footy where time-on is not present & it is not fair for either team... a nice torp from that northern goalsquare & Windy Hill & you could just about ice 2 minutes in the retrieval time... or do we play time-on for just the last quarter perhaps?

"Who cares about the B-grade" heh... I'd say about 110 blokes that make up the 5 teams that look like playing in September, along with supporters, sponsors, trainers, umpires (who get a bit of pocket money etc.)... I'll refrain from personally attacking the ninkumpoop that came out with this comment (as our mate OKO would have done in the past... by the way welcome back to the site & please behave yourself ya Helmet)... but seriously, are you rocking up at 2pm, prancing out onto the ground & dominating (in your own mind of course), collecting your $500 a game playing A's & scooting back off down the hill to hit the clubs in ya leather pants or what? Did you play right through junior footy as a selfish ball hog that had one goal in mind to play A-grade footy so it could be important??? Well summed up by GTS & DA... Look at the Lofty boys, in the running for a 4th straight premiership & in any grade of footy that is damn IMPORTNAT & will be awesome to look back on AND CARE ABOUT when your career is gone & forgotten.

Anyway, end of rant... good luck to all tomorrow, good day for the ankle-biters by the look of it YAY :D

Piss funny stuff.

Anyone that has their head so far up their own ass and thinks other grades premierships don't count should not be playing football, maybe tennis or golf any other one man sports that you should get involved in.

Footy is a team game not just being limited to one team, being that a club in general is a team itself working to get results, every grade represents strength and respect for every player and person. If anyone is to nieve to think only A grade flags count then quit now, your wasting your time as that mentality is not needed at ANY club.

The Devils have had one for the last 2 seasons.....it's called back to back to back.

Let it you you dumbass, you're missing the point and just making yourself look more and more stupid.

Oh and I'll always be happy to walk back into the clubrooms at Heathfield and see my pic up on the wall in 3 premiership winning photos.
