Yeah I also heard that yankman. Has mates at goolwa BUT also knows a few of the lads from the Dees such as Paterson, Butcher and maybe even portlock so it will be interesting to see.

He will go back to his junior club at SMOSH West Lakes. Only Willunga would have enough points to play with to recruit him anyway...

Your right on one thing "yank man" It was mentioned by jars today on triple mmm that he will be heading back to his junior club smosh, as for willunga being the only club with enough points available definitely wrong. I know strath has only used less than 5 points for most of this year and last. If it was locals v locals every year we know willunga, mclaren & strath would be hard to beat.

I know this is probably a stupid question. But why was the intro of the point system/allocated points versus points per player so allowing of such a number of recruits? As in why are clubs able to have so many recruits it'd be great to see the league more of a grassroots league rather than a contest of recruits (although I still love gsfl. Just would love some info on this

Also, Shane wakelin is rumoured to have penned a deal for every home match next year for my compass

who is the fav son ???

Matt Moody? Ben Thompson? Eamon Bull? Peter Flower? No wait ... Razor Ray O'Donnell!

Grant Przibilla or maybe it's Luke Cooper :partyman:

Talking about great full forwards... Luke "Plugga' Harding has to be it... has a few fingers in numerous pies atm... but will always be a Willunga boy through and through!!!

Think you will find he wants to go back to his grass roots at Smosh. Big coup for them if he does. Don't matter where he goes cos he is a great guy and will no doubt give back as much as he took out. :)

I'm confused. You finish top 3 years in a row and it limits your recruits, minimal points. You finish bottom 3 years in a row and win 3-5 games and you can recruit a gun team. You keep them for 3 years and they are then zero so you can top up with 2 or 3 each year. Is that how it works or have I missed something. :?

Hi Guys,

I went to my first GSFL A Grade Game today @ Myponga - I now know why they are called the 'Mudlarks' :)
Whilst there, I over heard a couple of blokes talking about a certain former Crows player doing a 'Wayne Carey'.

Can anyone confirm the rumor that said player has been asked to leave his Club as a result of this?

As for my tip for a young guy doing well Id say young 'Thomas fenoughty' will poll about 7-10 votes. what a season

Is that the big bloke that only plays on the grandstand wing?

Yeah you are right Jimmy. Bloke like that should be a key position player and take on one of the big guys. I reckon he is a bit of a bully and as such, takes on the young kids who are just starting out their careers. He can play though.

Ordinary oval at the moment. Did you enjoy it?
Not sure what you mean by a Wayne Carey though? He has done a fair bit. Commentator, Kicked the winning goal, Taken marks running back into the pack, cut his knee on a goal post, had a punt etc etc.
But I guess that you mean he spent some time with a young lady, most inappropriately.
Probably happened at most footy clubs

A bit cryptic there - is this in relation to someone playing for a club in the GSFL (Myponga or Willunga perhaps?.....although I dont think either have any ex- AFC players), or just a story being discussed about a former Crows player playing somewhere in the state?

It has been an interesting year in the GSFL.
I have seen all teams play 2 times and McLaren 18 times.

Encounter Bay are not good enough to win the GF
Nor is Strath

That leaves Willunga, Creeks and Victor
After round 1 when Victor flogged McLaren I thought they would be the team to beat.
Man for man they look very good especially with T Brown back. If they played like a team they will win from 5th....The big egos in the side might just stop that from happening. My smokey for the finals though
Creeks are just hard at it all day. Good balance and Lally is a gun. Struggle in defence though.
Willunga is still a class act and if they put Haskett to full forward and plays like he should they will win the flag

Portlock to win medal from Cousins and Laff and Muff to tie for 3rd
Smokey is Hunt from the mudpit
