Saw the mob of them at Moana on Monday.
The number out there training was surprisingly high.
It looked to me as though there may be a bit more height out there.

Some new faces from last year????? Who are the new players?

Mostly senior colts that have steppes up from last year Mr M. Some good tall lads there that are still growing. Other new faces are Sparto fenoughty, A bloke called Quinny, don't know much about him, was going in pretty hard in the panther ball game. Matt Heaney who is putting in some hard yards, heard he will go alright if he's fit, and Russel Hart. Evan Williams looking real good, be a good pik up from the colts.

the juniors are doing well that have come up they have all been at every training and smashing us old blokes (except you KK), especially up the stairs at maslins, (i think baz lambert was seen walking along the beach down there =)) ) definately hard work up them but we need to do it if we wanna be competitive, we are at the oval on monday but i have feeling we will still get a few k's under the legs

Was definately on of the toughest sessions i've been put through. Hilly put it all on the individual to see how far they could push themselves, and it was awesome to see players pushing themselves way further than anyone would of thought. Quite a few people got the full ten times up the stairs. Great to see!
Can't wait to have a kick on Monday at the oval! :D

A Mum, will we see A Son at the oval, he said he is allergic to grass and loves doing all the work in the soft sand!

Yes, you're right.
He recently had an alergy test done and it did say 'grass' was his number one enemy.
Bit of bad luck for someone who is studying horticulture and works daily one maintaining an oval !! :)

You'll see him for sure I would think KK.
He originally wasn't able to attend training last night, but was so keen he changed his working hours to fit it in.

He has loved the beach work though, that's for sure.

O:)

It is tough in the hot weather mate. Lots of hair.
I sneak down from Kuitpo in the morning and have swim then a sleep in the cave and trundle back abot 7.30..
As I popped out I did notice you were in the back half of the group, encouraging all the juniors
Good work

B. Thompson looking for a club

Postby bestonground » Thu Feb 05, 2009 1:23 pm

Hey guys,

good to see Mclaren putting in the hard yards on the track for the first time in years, I'd love to be out there myself, if I ever get away from my beloved bottlo i'll come out for a run! cant play this year though unfortunately....goin to be hard watchin from the sidelines.. hey Brad Thompson (aggi) expressed his interest in playin for us this year, hes about 6-1 and can play in the midfield or on a half forward flank, I was havin a kick on the oval with him and his skills are surprisingly top notch. Ill pass on hillys number to him, could be a half decent asset. Anyway, come through the seaford for a free pale ale guys :)

Why can'nt you play this year BOG?

Would be good if you could come down on Monday at the oval and bring your mate along, always makes it a bit easier on a new player if one of his mates comes down aswell.
