Heard there was an incident involving a premature siren, sounded as though there were some funny circumstances around it. Is there anyone at the game who would care to elaborate?

It sounded at the 11 minute mark of the last. The Birdwood players were pretty quick to start shaking hands with their opponents and vacate the ground, but the game was restarted and Mt Lofty piled on another 6 goals or so.

ok champ, tell me the players in the team if you know so much. there is nothing strange about a team of super individuals that don't play well together. More importantly, that team was put together over 2 seasons before disbanding as we went to Div 2. There was only one season where everyone played together and we had some of our key blokes go down midseason and we didnt have the depth to cover it. Top 18 on the field was a super list.

If you look past your ignorance, you will note I never said we were the best team that year or any year.

Everyone has a right to an opinion Dashin... pull your head in.

You said it rock....i'm just providing my opinion if you hadn't noticed. What the hell do you have to do with this conversation anway, we don't need another big brother.

Anyway, apologies if i seemed slightly surprised by the comment. Call me naive, but i just find it a bit hard to swallow that Ironbank had the most talented side to ever grace the hills. You're right, i couldn't name one bloke that was playing back then unless of course big red muff was playing, which i'm guessing he probably was. Having said that, i could real off some pretty talented sides spanning the last 7 or 8 years.[/quote]

Big Brother hey... my tip is you probably watch that crap.

All games for this round look pretty one sided. Hahndorf, Blackwood, Mt.Barker & Uraidla should all win by 10 goals or more and Lofty should easily account for Onka's.

IB-BW will be closer than 10 goals. It was only a couple of goals in it last time they played. But as usual with us, it will all depend on Gigney. Looks like he is in pretty good form coming into this week, but playing up forward?

Courier Cup final in the Bs. IB are flying at the moment and looking for vengance after last years prelim final loss

Interesting to note, the C grade are playing 3 games at blackwood on friday night, then IB/BW full day on Sat... The oval will be thrashed.

That game was at Ironbank which is a very tough ground to win on. At Blackwood its a whole different ball game. Even without Gigney The Woods would smash em by plenty.

I seriously don't know what all the fuss about Gigney is. All he does is zone off his opponent and punish poor forward line delivery by floating in front and taking easy grabs (A touch like Kev Koch from IB). He very rarely beats opponents as he never really bothers with them. Yes he kicked a few goals last week so he is dangerous in that respect, but generally all he does is feed off the mistakes of the opposition. And does anyone else se the irony in a 6"7 bloke who takes the kick outs but almost always kicks to a contest??!!! If IB can use the skill level their squad clearly has to deliver quickly and precisley to guys like Gratez and Naughton on the lead they will be a serious show. If they bomb into Gigney's lap they will be in trouble. And if he goes forward, Koch would be the best match-up in the comp for him anyway.

Spot on DM that is exactly what he does and IB need to use their leading players even if they go a bit wider to quickly go around him. I think Nappys will help by making him more accountable.
