They held up yellow cards and blew their whistles which is all they are entitled to do. This is a reflection of the attitudes of the 16-17 year old kids now and if the clubs accept this from their own kids there is not much else the HFL can do about it once the brawl starts.

thank you. some sense at last. and while we're at it, what action have the clubs taken towards the parents of players who enter the field when things go off. but it's much easier to blame the hfl or the umpires. about time clubs took some ownership here.

Agreed. All clubs are very aware that they can issue club reports against opposition players/officials and the matter will be heard in front of a non-biased panel on Wednesday nights. If you don't understand the process don't come on here to blame the HFL.

I agree also. The clubs need to take some responsibility in the disciplining of the individuals involved.
Good to see I'm not a lone voice in sticking up for the HFL board as I have been on the central forum.

Good to see some support for the HFL
The clubs control the HFL the board administers it
It's the point i was trying to make to Champ when he
banged on about the hard decisions
It's the clubs that need to react

I wasn't at the game but have followed this up with our club officials.

The first thing I'd like to say is people shouldn't comment unless they know the facts and I know our club is looking into and dealing with what happened on Saturday. Much of what has been said is not correct and both clubs tried to diffuse the situation. Nairne coach asked for the HFL officials at the game to step in and a Gumeracha official was very active in trying to controlling the situation. I also know the Nairne runner well and find it extremely hard to believe he did anything wrong. In saying all this the club is investigating these allegations and will deal with what is found.

RAMS I was at the game and was 10m away from the incident. The Hills officials did act as best they could to diffuse the situation after it was well and truly underway as did the bloke from Gum as you said. This was not my point. My point was we cannot accept this behaviour from the younger players at any of our clubs and we cannot blame the HFL for this either. Nothing was done from either team to discipline the players involved.

You would think any prospective coach would be across all those sorts of things and prbably wouldn't need to ask on SAFooty. We all know how accurate and factual the information is on here. ;)
Don't think you would go to an interview armed with information from here, so to answer your question Champ i doubt Norm is after a coaching role.
However i could be wrong, Norm has showed a bit of interest in a few country leagues lately.

Just doing research mate.

What I'm hearing is each country association has different rules regarding the points. I'm trying to understand it.

You are pretty much spot on there so you would be better to go online each association and look for their APPROVED PLAYER POINTS SYSTEM.
The ratings is generally the same but the difference will be in how each team is allocated their points.

Correct me if I am wrong but this could be a total of 4 mail medals for him believe he won an underage one at gepps cross too quality footballer however at 28 would be good to see him play in another league of a higher standard ( this is not having a go at the standard of hills country either as it has improved since the removal / merge of callington )
