Marcus Burdett would have to be favourite for Mail Medal. Maxfield from Compass should poll well. Willunga and Creek will share it around. Tim Rogers maybe. Hodge from VH and some of the Yank and Strath boys may be in the votes. Anyone from Bays?

Rogers from the Creek didn't get an invite (from what I was told), but he definately polled 6 v The Saints. Stokes from Bays will poll well beacuse he stands out. He also would have polled 6 v The Saints. I think Hodge from VH has a real good show. Burdett is a clear cut favourite. Hopefully he doesn't need votes in the last game to seal it, beacuse he will not get any!

Sean Beath from Willunga won the under 17s medal. 1st year 17s and is definitely someone to watch. Has lots of guts and good speed for a young guy.

Sounds like Marcus Burdett is the unbackable favourite for tonight's medal. Hopefully he doesn't do it too easily. It's always good when it comes down to the last round.

For the record I'm tipping Tony Gilbert from Willunga to take out the 2's medal.

Well there you go. Burdett is no doubt a good player. He is fit, skilled, gets the ball and is umpire friendly but there is no way that in the last game he was best on ground against the Saints, tagged out of the game by Mark McGuiness! Bailey was a clear cut standout as Mt Compass named in their best. Probably the right result though! Just makes you wonder about the guys giving votes.

It's going to be interesting to see the outcome of this weekend's matches. Mt Compass will go into their match against Willunga with underdog status but if the likes of Burdett, Maxfield, Bailey and Braidwood all fire they'll be in with a big chance.

In the other match you'd be a brave man to tip the Mudlarks however Strath have just come off 2 consecutive losses and Myponga are coming off 2 wins on the trot so if current form counts for anything they should be a good show. For the record the last final Strath played in they lost by about 25 goals.

Well done to Jake "Harry Highpants" Miller on winning the 2's medal on Wednesday night.

First weekend of finals went pretty well as expected.
Compass started well and were definitely competitive.
Strath and Pongy was tight early with the Roosters dominating the 3rd quarter and having enough class in the last to keep Myponga out.

This weeks games should be beauties.
