Ian Perrie moving to Peterborough for work is a pretty handy acquisition. After a lean 2 years the club now seems to be finding their feet again with some good recruits. Rumours have him on $1500 a game surely not that much?

Seen much better players on half that, but you never know, how old would he be these days?

Sarge would not be on that much, he played for peanuts in the SAAFL, probably only slightly more in GSFL.

Carpenter by trade and did have his own business? What job does he have?

I used to play in this football league. The rumors are true, however he is getting offered closer to $900 is what I have heard. They have even sorted out a job for him with the local carpenter

You would think 1v1 he will out muscle anyone. The only question mark is his goal kicking. Will be interesting, I guess we will find out Saturday

David Zubrinich from West Augusta is coaching BMW but only for the next five games if the stories are true. They got flogged by Jamestown yesterday and only kicked two goals. They need help!

No one has heard of him out that way, though nothing strange in that, few people in Peterborough follow the team

That was Cameron Redden from Central Augusta in 2010. He was quite good too and got them into the gf but they lost by 12 points. Redden now coaches in the Whyalla league and I think they are doing pretty well

Thanks for that. Used to play for them in early 90's and still keep an eye on how they're going.

Ahhhh, back in the days of Razza McCallum at full forward and Grant McCallum and Gary Gum sweeping through the guts feeding off Gunga Koch. Or do you go right back to Jimmy Higgins, Bentley Foulis and Co.

As a past NAFA player keep a close eye on the comp, seems that Orroroo are going to be the team to beat and it will be out of Southern Flinders, Crystal Brook or Broughton to challenge them. It was only 2 years ago Jamestown and BMW played off in a prelim final, now look where they have gone... It would be nice for a real close comp between all 6 teams.

Zubrinich got one game and Renshaw got two. Both are quality players and blokes so will be missed.

Played with Jimmy and Bentley in a BMW 'B' Grade flag in 1991. Great players and great blokes. Played a few 'A' grade games with Razza and Gunga for Booleroo pre the merger, again, exceptional players.

Tigers too good for Pies at Jamestown. JP scored 8 behinds - that was it
BMW played a ripper and got to within 16 points of the Eagles at Mundoora
Game of the round at Orroroo where Crystal Brook was out of gas after quarter time and got rolled by 8 or 9 goals

Wondering what the ground conditions up there are like. Have you been getting the rain Adelaide has? Many grounds down here are turning into mud heaps. Always remember Booleroo as being rock hard early in the season.
