Surely with this weather and the forecast for Sunday they are not going to continue with Nairne on Sunday!
It was bad enough last year.

Both teams had to play on the same deck so that not an excuse! Conditions should've suited the slower more strongly built kersbrook however Nairne simply played the conditions better end of story.

If I were a ram I wouldn't be going over board just yet; kersbrook aren't silly.

No one at Nairne is getting carried away, the lads know they still have a lot of work to do. It was a fantastic team effort and something they should be proud of and take confidence from.

As for the oval everyone knows how the oval can turn to crap if the conditions are extremely wet on game day. In saying that I'd think most HFL ovals would struggle in these conditions. Not sure why the HFL have allocated the ovals they have and why Kersbrook have been left out, wonder if next weeks games will be shifted since rain is predicted for most of this week.

I was trying to attach a photo but can't but the oval is looking great, hardly a blade of grass on it!
Who would have thought the league could take a great game and turn it into a mud wrestling match!

Would love to see a photo if you could manage to put it up.

If not, see if you can upload it to the "Local footy Classics"on facebook.

Meadows beat Gums by 4 goals

Nairne’s win over Kersbrook on Saturday was their first one since 2005 against the Brookers

Yep, that's correct. Always Sat/Sun in the Hills for the first 2 weeks.

sure that's not a tractor pull? Wow that is terrible. Needs a super sopper, a roll and fifteen days of sun to fix that mess.

Welcome to Hills football. I can't comment on Country Div, but half the ovals in Central division are in this state.

Question can clubs refuse to play on muddy ovals.I feel for gumeracha but their oval was deemed unfit for use in the last round of the year but after a bucketload of rain will host a do or die final on sunday? Maybe HFL knew of this inclement weather before finals the crowds maybe low so they decide to increase entrance money to ten bucks!!On a sidenote superules has been moved from lobey to kersbrook this sunday due to condition of lobey .Watched the brookers train for a while.Very impressive. Why is that ground not being used for finals?
