The arch rivals Imperials and Ramblers will line up for the 3rd time in 4 weeks to decide who will face Mypolonga in the Grand Final.

Meningie would be feeling very embarressed to think $100,000 spent and only reached 4th!

They probably only paid about half of that themselves with the monetary assistance they received.

If they didn't get these players in, they would have been fairly uncompetitive this year, especially with player losses to Kingston. I'm not a big fan of Motlop, but he was obviously able to bring players to the club, and all up they've had a fairly good year.

If Meningie progressed any deeper into September the club was genuinely concerned where the funds were going to come from. But to be fair not everybody is going to make the trip from Adelaide to Meningie for jam and scones. Maybe an extra chook raffle or two could have done the job.
While on the topic of Meningie, have they reappointed Motlop for 2013?

Good game of footy between the Roosters and Bears yesterday, we seemed to have it in the bag at half time but Meningies accuracy at goal kept them in it getting within 8points at one stage only for us to kick away in the end. Got my first glimpse of Mcleod and it looked like our players had stars in their eyes as no one seemed to want to tackle him.

On another note, pretty disgusted in what happened in the U/17's. There was a bit of a fight between a couple of our blokes and Meningies and our boy must have got a good one in as the kid on the recieving end had his dad run onto the field and start throwing punches. Next thing he knew, he was flat on his back which is what he deserved in that situation. No one should every run onto the field and act like that, let alone a parent. And apparently out of all that, our bloke got reported for hitting the spectator

And on another disappointing note, Rambler B grade legend Roger Head appeared to do a serious knee injury late in the game. Hopefully this is not the last we will see of ol' Rog on the field but at his age, retirement would have to come knocking if he needs a reco I would think

With the umpiring this year it is a wonder that all teams have not got together and picked the mail medal winner between them as they could not be trusted with that sort of decision.. i am being serious for a change and i and many others rate the best player in this league to be Wark , hard but fair and the best competitive mark in the comp, if Tailem can retain him and add a couple , even by the alledged tanking they will be hard to beat next year or at least very much improved . The medal could only come from Mypo , Us or Ramblers .

Ramblers will have a very good chance this week. A few Imps boys looked sore & tired, with Waite not playing at all after half time. Will be a big Day this Saturday!

UTB, incredibly I find myself agreeing with you on three fronts. 1 regarding the umps. 2 Wark being the best player in the comp and 3 the winner can only come from the top 3 teams.

Yes Hall did but he was deducted points for being from Mannum later on in the year.

Hopefully it is a bit more professional than last year when they flashed the result up half way throught the count. Only seen Mypo twice this year but if Albrechsten played consistently like he did Saturday he must go close.
