The two bottom teams need to be allocated extra points the following year to make them competitive, otherwise you're always on the back foot. That's what I think anyway.
So you've seen everything have you?

As an observation BC, Loxton finished fifth last season and made the GF this one.

Thats if they have the cash to get the imports I suppose. I think possibly a reduction in points for the teams that finish higher on the ladder

Fair enough.
The points system, as someone pointed out above, is all about list development.
North's side wasn't much different from the previous season when it finished fourth - just missed Tim and Michael Arnold for much of the season, losing a lot of drive. Also, the coach's message wasn't quite coming through to all players.
I think there's a lot of improvement left in the guys that are remaining and the players who are coming up.
Allowing for list development - we can improve and can play finals next season.
Personally, I'd just like to play in one winning A grade side ;)

I was talking to someone from Waikerie on the weekend and they told me they are going all out next year to get some guns at the club (no expense spared). I believe they lose Ben Kayser.

RMFL has a points system where higher clubs have less, lower more, slightly adjusted every year but have no doubt "CASH IS KING" I reckon system should be jigged so that points slowly are cranked down, maybe one point bi annually, so that money is a lesser part of the equation. We are all a long way from that but that is what all country leagues should be aiming for. More chance of equalising competitions than salary caps though.

Schubert?

It isn't Schubert but......
IF.....IF this is correct that an uncleared player has played part of the year, it would be a hugh f***K up on our league executives behalf to allow it to go so far. If it's true, this has cost BM and Waikerie the chance to play in a grand final, and Berri the chance to play in the finals series as loxton should have been stripped of all there points, prior to the season end.

This shouldn't be left with out some explanation and or action from the RFL. We need to dig deeper and find out more!!!!

I can see Mick Beech now hiding under his desk, maybe that's we he hasn't returned my calls!

What is happening at Loxton. If I remember correctly their B-grade lost points accrued during the year for playing an uncleared player in the B-grade.
Their Clearances person maybe looking for another position.

I hear him and Nunan approached Gaza to play there next year, but they are asking for too much coin. Heard that from a very reliable source and it's basically gospel.

Not sure how much exactly, but it was around the same, or if not more, than what they pay for ex league players.
