Find it very interesting that you would discuss something on forum like this that was discussed in an apparent committee meeting. And your obviously in denial if you think some of your players are only on that much, I know your mid season recruit in Hall is on alot more than what you have posted above, not to mention a couple of others. I'm not saying they aren't worth it as you blokes have some very handy players, just find it interesting how imps people always have and always will say " we don't pay anyone more than $400 a game"!!

Wouldn't have a clue and don't really care. Good luck to them. I'm a bit like grasshopper here. Surprised the amounts of money that were discussed at an AGM would be put on here. But then, what gets discussed at an AGM and what the $ the players sign the contract for could be very different. Would have thought the contract or money agreed to would have been only between the player, the treasurer and maybe another person. No-one elses business as to what they get paid.

Yep spot on. Couldn't give a flying **** what they are getting paid. Like a previous poster said it does seem a little dissapointing quality juniors are missing representing their club due to mid season recruiting gains. But whatever. Aim is to win it and if they have the points and the cash then why not.

Footywiz. As an Imperials supporter it hurts me to say it but after your attempt to outline your payments to Imperials players I have decided you must be living in La La Land. I dont think a forum is the right place to outline player match payments but someone is obviously pulling your chain. You have underquoted in almost every case.

I'm surprised match payments would be openly discussed at an AGM.

Well if it appears in the financials of the annual report, members of the club have the right to question it and the office bearers should answer it correctly otherwise they might think something fishy is going on.

I would have thought that the total payments for coach, players etc would be on the annual report and members can question that. As for the what the individual gets out of the total amount, I don't think that has anything to do with members. Most clubs have a budget on what they will spend on players.
Let's say it's $50,000 at a ball park figure. That would be declared at the AGM. It's then up to the recruiting to work out how they spend it. 5 x players at $10,000 or 2 x $20,000 and 1 x $10,000. Don't think the members need to know that. Just my thoughts.

Couple of great games this weekend. Should be a sensational showcase of this humble league. I'm expecting a Ramblers and Imps win in two close games. Mypo have played little footy over the past month which will affect them, but I expect them to win the prelim after a taste of finals footy for the youngsters.

How has training been at Mypo this week MR FOOTYHEAD?

I’m now getting excited about this week game, the pre-season and cold wet training nights all comes down to the rewards of the next two weeks. Browny has had the lads working hard on the track, all considering the limited match time over the last month.

Mypolonga got up by 43 points over imps. Imps were shell shocked when we kicked 11 goal to zip in the second quarter after Browny gave the boys a great 1/4 time adress. Lets sign him now for the next 5 years before Imps try to get the great man. Not many picked us to be in this position during the preseason and many thanks to Browny.

Great win by Mypolonga. Gene Robinson is a star and should have a crack at a higher level. Davey is a big hole for Imps and we got smashed in the ruck by Schar. Wait did not return after half time with a hip corky but it did not influence the game result. Could not believe Imps played our leading goalkicking in the reserves. What were the coaches thinking?? Seemed a touch arrogant to me. There is a fair chance we could have Mypo Vs Imperials in all grade in the Grand Final. Has this ever happened before?

1975 Ramblers V Imps in all grades. Ramblers won them all except U17s.

The point I am trying to make about Kowald is that if he was that sick why play him? The reserves are clearly the best team in the competition and had about 6 players miss out so they are not short of players. Either he is fit enough to play A grade or he just does not play. Just cant see any logic in him playing reserves.

Who was playing on Robinson today? Mypo look the goods, and their younger brigade are much better than the 'highly rated Imps juniors'. No matter the outcome, applause must be given to Mypo for their season and the direction their entire club is heading.

Mypos younger brigade are older. Imperials had 4 U/17s playing today. They are all great kids but need some time to develop. Most of Mypos younger players have played 20-30 games or more which is a real advantage. Tom Puiatti stood Robinson for most of the game but it would not have mattered who stood him today. Everything he did turned to gold.

Interesting matchup. Would have thought the 'great man' would put a hardened warrior on a young Geno playing his first final. Did Hooray Henry play? They really miss his hardness IMO.

Heard from the coach didn't play last wk because a sore heart muscle, assuming that's why wasn't selected this week
