MONTE CHRISTO, I think you'll find Bawden will be returning to the devils line-up at 12.50pm this Saturday at Thunder Park. I believe the Devil boys have coyly alluded to this already in previous posts.

In a tight A Grade competition I think Lofty is now the team to beat. The advantage they have is the depth in their squad compared to other teams. All the top 6 teams have some great players, in fact Uraidla would arguably have the best 'top 21 players' when all fit however Lofty have about 25-30 quality A Grade players and can cover the injuries to their key players much better than any other squad. Compared to what say a Uraidla have in their B grade playing stocks to replace any injuries, Lofty have a significant advantage and this was proven in last years finals. Blackwood and Ironbank seem to have very good depth but maybe not quite of the standard of Lofty from their 15th best player to 25th best players.

Just an opinion and confess to being a Lofty supporter.

I would only disagree Paul Nixon on your point regarding Uraidla's best 21,IMO Mt Lofty's best 21 is a much stronger, more even oufit this year than Uraidla's. Uraidla's best 10 are much much better than their next best 10, I wouldn't say that about Mount Lofty's.

Bawden in the 2's? Wonder which lucky bloke will get to stand him?

Not many premierships are won in May but hard seeing anyone beating the Devils. Thought the Woods had a chance this year but they might have to be satisfied with runners up, unless Uraidla get all their crocks fit enough for the finals.

Anyone hear how the tribunal went last night?

All I am saying is I apologise to the B grade for our selection policy that requires players who haven't been training to play at least one game in the Supers.

did flash gordon come through the supers ?

No, but different circumstances as he had been playing and training regularly at another footy club, where as Bawden has been drinking his way around the world. Looks pretty unfit though, hope he gets thru alright.
We want Vaughn.

Yes been pretty quiet. Absolutely cowardly act. I feel for Scott Purling & Stevie Feijen. Anyone who king hits a bloke 70 metres off the ball and breaks their opponents jaw deserves a lengthy ban.
Does anyone know how many he got? Must be a gag order on the Ironbank lads who use this forum. Haven't heard much from them of late.

I heard that the Ironbank player who was believed to be involved was the wrong player and the HFL has told Ironbank that they must name the player who was involved in the incident. Apparently Ironbank have been given a certain amount of time to do this and if they fail to follow orders the club will be punished??

Not idea if this is true, but this is the story that I have heard.

i do not know why someone would hit purling or do what ever this guy did, he doesnt say boo on the footy field to anyone, and even if he did 70 metres off the ball is a disgrace. scott is one of fairest players ive ever played with.

im dumb founded why he would do it...

Shocking to hear of the incident in the hahndorf game. I hope the player that got injured has a swift recovery. Would I be right in thinking that the Ironbank player that did it is playing this week? Terrible if he is.

TWE my point regarding lofty's depth is that should lofty get an injury, in the B's they currently have the reigning A Grade bog in a grandfinal( Bawden) and the leading goal kicker for the hills interleague team from last season ( Chapman). Don't get me wrong, I think Ironbank have a fairly good chance of beating Lofty's B's on Sat if they play well- my point was do other teams have individual players with the above quality running around in the B's? If not then I think this makes Lofty the team to beat.

Looking forward to heading out and seeing some good competitive footy at the Thunderdome today. Usually a good contest between Lofty and Ironbank.

2 great games at the Thunderdome today, Ironbank storming home in both games but not quite making it in the A's....great football to watch in both grades though.

GTS noticed a bit of argey bargy towards the end of the game.....anything in it? Would seem both teams in the B's have great respect for each other..........Campbell would be the difference from an outsiders point of view.

Go Thunderers!

PS Neville Clarke is the worst umpire in the HFL and should retire......not only does he make mistakes but he is so arrogant about it!!!!!!

unofficial free kick count in the b's at ironbank yesterday read 30-13 lofty's way. some absoulte corker decisions that left everyone scratching their heads. something like 30 free kicks in the first half threatened to ruin a great game.

The Uraidla Hahndorf game was one of the best games i have seen in countryfootball. Hahndorf led by 5goals at half time but uris came back and led by 2 at the final quater, then there was something like 4 -5 lead changes in the last quater with Uris just gettn over the line
