If they did they would raise the pitiful current umpiring finals fee of around $120 to try and attract quality people with a genuine understanding of the game. Why would any sane person put up with the prolonged verbal abuse they were subjected to today. If the RMFL were serious about their zero tolerance towards umpires they would have booted dozens out of the ground today. Some of the abuse was disgraceful.

The umpiring most of the day wasnt too bad with just a few umpiring mistakes, it was unfortunate that Newell got involved at a crucial time of the match in the third quater and awarded a high tackle free to Meningie right in front of goal it was definately not a free and then to rub salt in the wound the same umpire called 2x 50 meter penalties that had the players and spectators absolutely confused both resulting in goals to Meningie , that sort of broke Mannum and they went on to loose by that margin. Another umpire not sure but think was Lienert missed a slam tackle on a young kid and while he lay injured on the ground through the ball up on top of him, seriously umpires complain about always copping it but they dont really do much to help themselves when that sort of thing goes on. I am just glad it wasnt imperials that Mannum played or that display at times would of got even more infamous comments.

I am going for an Imperials VS Mypolonga Grand Final with the home ground and finals experience seeing Imperials winning by 24 points. A bit of bias in my selection however.

Looks to be a cracker of a finals series. I will also tip that it will be a imps vs mypo final. And the blues to just getover the line by under two goal with luke harrowfield to win the medal. Imps finals experience will just get them over the line against the young tigers. But in saying that i would not be at all surprised if the tiger cubs sneak home.

I agree also with Imps v Mypo and an Imps win. Finals is a different ball game, and it may get the better of them THIS year. Pending player losses, I expect Mypo to have a nice little run in the coming years.
