One play got red carded 10 minutes into the game for an off the ball incident! Real disciplined!!!

Dissapointing to hear but FWIW yours truly will keep out of this one considering that are only two A graders left from last playing foray in 2009.

I was told that the Maccy coach played and five minutes in broke the nose of an echunga player albeit underneath a pack with a cheap shot so its no surpise to read your post...

So you didn't shake hands with the opposition coach after the game then Champ

Huh? Why the hell would I shake a coaches hand at a game I had nothing to do with?? Hahahaha thats just a stupid question KnB.

Come on P32 suprising you'd post that rubbish unless you were speaking for your mate???

Why wouldnt Maccy have a crack up against the top team, what have they got to lose.....ultimately the better footy team prevailed, as usual!

Are you seriously saying its a good game plan to "have a crack" by going the buff rather than going for the ball.

Don't know why it's surprising??
If you are going to try and rough up a team you need to remember there's a little red pill out there that you need to get as well.
You have a few talented players out there and some young kids coming through, not sure if that would be the right game plan to install in these guys coming through.
Take a leaf out of Tony Fielke's book and teach the young guys at the club about discipline and playing the footy and it will go along way to improving the club.
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!

The season so far. echunga outstanding undefeated well coached (although losing so many players pre season many being locals).definitely the team to beat.kersbrook seem to be getting towards full strength but do not seem to be able to match it with echunga.will miss laube come finals.nairne definitely big improvers but can not seem in same class as top two.meadows similiar but will miss thomas.gum and maccy both have a crack(maccy probably better suited for superules).birdwood extremely disapointing.kangys also disapointing way of their stringer days and cambrai improving(but need to in this comp).for me cant go for anything but a kersbrook echunga final.echunga to win comfortably.your thoughts.

my thoughts are that the 2013 season has been completely compromised by the awarding of additional player points to echunga. it is inconceivable that a team that competed in the last 2 grand finals can be granted additonal points. dont forget that their b grade also made the grand final in 2012, so it wasnt like they didnt have b graders ready to step up.

the hfl board should hang their heads in shame with this decision.

Gervais for someone named after a British comedian you're a complete edited - not necessary!! To state that the entire competition has been compromised is pure and utter rubbish you sooky little bastard.
This points debate was done to death and after scrolling back you'll notice the facts:
Echunga have played below their points allocation in more than 90% of their games
Their additional points you spoke of have been stripped after the meadows football club wrote a somewhat grammatically challenged letter of complaint in round 2.
The remaining points allocation is for an 18 year old boy who played 3 games in 2012 and as Gus has notified can not be transferred to another player if the kid doesn't play!
Credit where it's due peanut! The demons lost 33 players in one hit! Boohoo but at least they've gotten over it and are getting on with the important stuff like.... Playing footy - your boys should try that...

buckle in....here comes the echunga apologist again. poor echunga, all their players left so they need to recruit.

33 players lost from last year, really? not sure how you even can put out a b grade team on the park each week. i did note it was only 17 players lost according to you earlier in the year, so it must have been a bad may and june period.

pity some of the money spent on high priced recruits hasnt been used on junior development

Apologist? Can you even read? Your stupidity makes me feel awkward!
I think you'll find they are struggling to field a B'Grade each week; I think you'll find the original quote was prior to round one judging by the date. Regardless no-ones apologising or sympathising however you should be for your awkward comments

Yeah kersbrook echunga GF for mine as well, although I've been super impressed by Nairne and would consider them a smokey and could sneak in...as the cliche goes anything can happen in finals! Can't wait to see! Meadows have been going pretty well and I'm surprised how poor birdwoods results have been.....from central division to missing out on finals this year is a pretty drastic fall.

=D> Yep baffling decision. Would have been like Gary Hughes asking the HFL for more money to spend on players

Here's a list I've had emailed to me gentlement.

Champ - your assumptions are close but bud.
Jack Beverlander, Brad White, Brock Rothe, Clint Guy, Dan Thredgold, Jason Baylis, David Liston, Jack Snell, Daniel Sheehan, Tom Rowe, Cameron Dunn, Brock Montogmery, Dylan Caldwell, Jeff Palmrose, Tom Henke, Luke Tester, Jake Rothe, David Chadwick, Jackson Patrick, Tobias Rothe, Ben Hull, Tim Curno, Justin Andrighetto, Dan Agars, Brett Harland, James Brackin, Mark Hetzel (27)
Could throw in Munn and Hancock however they've since played due to the boys being short.

At any rate it's a pretty remarkable recovery for a team missing the above names, some would and have walked into other sides without too much hassle.

Why have they all left/retired? Who knows but that's footy isn't it.
