I believe the standard of the RMFL has gone up again this year, where do you think it would sit on an amateur scale? going by those statistics - Div 4 or 5? or higher? haven't seen too many SAAFL games so would be interested to know.

Girardi missed majority of the season due to an overseas holiday apparently back this week for their elimination final. Viney played well up the ground in the games I saw plus distracted by his coaching duties. Jackson took a while to get going and also missed some early season games to overseas trip. Stood up noticeably in Girardi's absence.

Take note that their new club finished 7th from memory last season and really lacked forward options at times, so they have added to the group.

He has also been in America for about 3 months now which explains why he aint been kicking many

If this is the case I wouldn't imagine he would be getting the lace out supply he was getting at ramblers either, so just because it's a weaker comp down in town doesn't necessarily mean he should be kicking more goals.

The decision to part ways was made some time ago I believe. Find it unusual he wouldn't coach the last game of the season this week.

Would perhaps only makes sense if the club wanted to trial someome within their ranks, to see what they'd be like if they took on the role next year.

What about looking at umpires from other sports and seeing if they want to learn how to umpire Aussie Rules?

Injured and retired players from the league or surrounding leagues?

Grow the umpiring "swap" system with other leagues to get unbiased umps.

Instead of complaining, even if your accurate, provide suggestions to the league to help the problems (other than asking the umps to take off their Imps jumpers  )

The Sunday lady football league's "Impact Umpire" Simon Johnson currently peaking into career high form and could be the answer to the RMFL's alleged issues ??

Word from the Hills is he's the only umpire chaired off the ground by the opposing supporters every week. Imagine this mutual respect would continue in this humble league!

What's going on at Imps land? I don't think it will happen but hypothetically, Imps may go out in straight sets! Lose to Ramblers this week then more than likely come up against Meningie week after who they've had difficulties overcoming. Would be BIG news in this humble league!

Mannum to win the flag from here.
Nothing has changed since the start of the year.
Harvey's plan right from the start was to finish 4th or 5th to maximise income.
Harvey will go to another level now the real stuff begins and single handedly take the Roos to the flag. (and help him self to another 5k along the way)

Ive heard the impact umpire will be going into a consulting role in the SAAFL as they are having the same issues finding real talent and are hoping he will be able to pass on some of his experience.
If this is true he will leave a large whole in the Hills football league umpiring fraternity.

Strange things happen though. Not only on footy ovals but even netball courts or on golf courses

It was mentioned a while back that Zac Ewer was a possibility?

Heard there might be someone else in contention with the Bloods, in a non playing capacity.

Re junior footy, heard Mypo won the under 13's carnival. They seem to have a very good record in recent years, anyone know where this strength lies, is it their close proximity to Murray Bridge, and perhaps a solid financial investment in their juniors..

Saw that one of their under 17's won the Connolly Medal, and a lad from Jervois won the under 15's.
