Having comfortably touched up City a few weeks ago GF were always going to be tough to beat.
I did think we might have had the edge on fitness but the game was always played on the Maroons terms
to big and strong.
I think we could have used Mason and Kemp had they been available.
If you were a betting man....do you reckon Tokas has called a special meeting of the PLFL
this week first on the agenda get Mallee Miller and a few others back to Lincoln
Item2 Amalgamate LD and LC for 2014.
Personally I think getting a Shield for being the best of the rest is a joke
what next...a certificate for all played well?

I think most Lincoln clubs wouldnt be too upset with Mallee being up GFFL KWF.
As for item2, IF LC had everyone on board to pick from, the result may have been closer, but it wouldnt have been a given. Add White, Rowe, Story, Browne, Mason, Kemp, Campbell, Kayser, Jeffries.....etc, Looks fairly different with those players.
As for LD i think only a handful would have made a Lincoln side this year, Harry Miller, Kaithule?, Matt Parker.
Maybe a couple others like Singh, Dorward.

maggot Curtis, sapsford also bombers.
I think steakn some credit due before listing the players that couldn't or didn't want to play. ripping first half of footy though.

All sides had key players out, so point argument irrelevant.
Having said that, I would find it hard to believe that GF could have been any more dominant. Made LC play contested footy which was not their go, and their skills were exceptional.
They really epitomised the Mortlock spirit.

heard one of the mid west boys saying he cant keep up with the young ones Saturday night anymore, seems this weekend for some is just a free weekend (accommodation) on the piss down Lincoln. heard there were some who got on it all 3 nights.
till this growing culture changes, mid west can never really challenge for the cup!
just hope the up and coming juniors dominating now get the right guidance in future years!
well done great flinders!
see ya back down there next year!

I thought i made it pretty clear that it wouldnt necessarily change anything match wise, just maybe the fact with some of the bigger bodies they may have been more competitive.
As i was at the game watching, Great Flinders played amazing footy and drew all their players into the game. There was no bigger sign of this than when Dunn actually hit the contest at pace(last 1/4) and made some impressive use of that solid rig of his. You cant tell me that is overly common(unfortunately)

I thought the four player rotation GF had enabled them to have fresh legs around the ball
particularly as the game progressed.
Playing guys that have hardly played a game all year was interesting.

City were soft any GF knew it and exploited it. Not 1 city player stood up to the tactics.
There were a lot of city players who were quiet and didn't want to be out there.
Who is Smith? Did he play mortlock?
