I'm tipping Renmark
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Apparently Pete Smith is or the clubs is trying to get him to see this bloke.
He treats a lot of the AFL boys at the moment but you need to know someone that knows someone to get in.....????

Good luck to him. I hope he plays. He's been an interesting aspect of this season. Not often a recruit comes up here with the wraps that he did and lives up to reputation.

I hope he plays too. He's a good lad Pete and it would be a real shame if he wasn't able to get up.

i will go against the trend and tip loxton by 18pts, smith will play and probably sit in the pocket all day & kick 5 goals.the weeks rest along with their younger legs on a hot day will see them get over the line. i agree renmark have the bigger bodies but i think this will hurt them in the end. i agree if it gets willing and the umps don't control it the young cubs might go missing should be a great final

Renmark by 5 points with Fish kicking the winning goal after the siren. :)

Other then Smith in for Loxton will there be any other changes? Maybe Farr back in for Renmark....? Can't wait, should be a great game to watch!

A good case for all indy GF to be played at Berri
What do other indy clubs think ?

Would be a good case for all Gf's to be played at Berri. Fat chance of all the other RFL clubs agreeing to that though. Too short sighted to know whats good for the players and supporters.

well superstar come up with an equatible, sustainable model for that to happen an I'm sure clubs will listen and progress.

Superstar? WTF is with that???
There are plenty of leagues around the state that dont have a rotation system so it's not as if it can't be made to work.
I would have thought that bigger crowds through the gate at League headquarters would equate to more $$$ for all clubs.

When we talk about the money situation, I can never understand what is so hard about sharing the cash from all finals matches. Personally, I think that all finals should be allocated to the higher team on the ladder, with the RFL running all the food/drink stalls etc. and dishing out money evenly to the clubs. Is that too hard to do?

That way, the teams who finish higher on the ladder will be rewarded and the farcical situation of a team lower on the ladder getting to play at home could be avoided.

As for the independents, playing their GF at a neutral ground (such as Berri) with, again, money shared between the clubs could certainly work.
Don't be scared. Now is not the time!

Interestingly, when Renmark won their last flag, i was standing next to Adam Johnson, Renmarks A-Grade ruckman of the past few seasons - he was out with a back problem and he was in tears after missing out. Farr may end up the same. Johnson and Farr were in Renmarks best players nearly every week all season and leading up to finals as well.

Another similarity - all 3 Renmark grades were in that years GF's as well and won them all.

They say history repeats.........?

Another interesting thing I have noted is that the two teams about which all the pre-season hype was occurring both took a while to wind up but are now in their respective GFs.
Paringa won theirs, can Renmark do the same?

how can you share the money!? i cant see the RFL all of a sudden saying we dont deserve the gate takings from finals, we will share that massive windfall amongst the clubs. i cant see the clubs doing all the hard work and handign over $ to every other club, i cant see clubs saying to other clubs you can come and use our equipment to cook, serve etc (some clubs cant manage their away changerooms, how are they expected to look after other clubs equimpent) maybe if you say the finals are all at X this year, each club has to supply 6 people to work....then people dont turn up and other clubs get the shits.

I think it is easier for the RFL to sit back and let each of the clubs orgainise a majority of things when it is their turn.
