Started of well, but still had to have a dig "used to be"

In reference to the manners part, I remember the address collins gave in presentations last year after we knocked you blokes off up their. And it was the most ignorant, arrogant speech I had ever heard from a senior coach, not once did he acknowledge Meningie.
I am not sticking up for the great man i am well aware of thr speach you refer to. Collo has a great deal of pressure believe it or not , to perform week in week out , thats how we are at imperials , i think a little slack should be cut for the great one as when you dont lose much its hard to get used to. I just would not want to be in Mannums shoes this week i think they will be in for a spanking . Mannums kids have had enough and Hall is like chris judd at carlton no matter how good he playes they still lose.Imps by 100 +!!!
Hahaha the mannum boys have definately gone quiet lately,
There is nothing like a confidence boosting win against Mannum to play yourself back into form, as put initially by Collos mentor Mr Tony Fielke. Speaking of Mannum what is up with Hale and Tonks are they still playing .
Hales and Tonkes have been OK. As young players they may be struggling to deal with being 'prized recruits'. The whole team could be placed as missing after satdee

who on here isnt happy after a win, sure we all celebrate in different ways but i think that if anyone one of you actually knew Ferenci and knew what the poor kid has gone through you would maybe understand why he is so happy about winning a game of footy (get off his back for f**k sake).
for someone who was told he would never play any sport again i say good on him for showing some emotion after a good win especially after having no success (even during the season) after being at the club for (i think 5 years).

Good on ya Ferenci.

its good to see some raw emotion from a player who obviously loves the club. we need more of it in this league considering the number of imports at certain other clubs who are just happy to turn up and take the dollars. good on the lad

Think you'll find Mr Willy that IMPS arent alone in copping it from Frogs bar. There would be 5 other teams in the exact same boat.

Certainly, all Clubs get it from Frog's Bar...just as all clubs get it from Jervois verandah and Mypo caravan. It's country footy and it's great. Stop sooking about hard core supporters enjoying a win. It happens everywhere.

And how many premierships and what culture have these clubs made over the last few years?
Mypo is more so die hard supporters that give friendly banter where Jervois and Meningie on the weekend have bought players in or should I say bought teams in and now the supporters are abusing other teams because we're cooky. Makes me have a good laugh thinking of where these clubs will be in the future. Ramblers for mine are setting them self up nicely and i would nearly say have over taken imps on culture and professionalism

Defiantly not being precious, I only get up to see the lads train on Thursday's but I would expect there was a good vibe and no whining there last night. All I was pointing out is maybe these clubs with their abusive supporters may need to look at the image they are making and I wouldn't want my kids playing at a club that the supporters where abusive. But on the other hand it's always good to have passionate supporters

What was the vibe like out Meningie last night?

Well said Ryder, I think precious may be an understatement at the minute, I would say the majority of frogs bar is banter in good fun, and that definately adds alot of atmosphere, and what is country footy without this atmosphere, die hard passionate supporters who follow their club through thick and thin,. Not all clubs have the luxury of having the success imps have with there depth through all grades, probably due to the population you can pull from, we've been smashed by your mob for years and now were competitive and enjoying a few wins and listen to you blokes, fair dinkum. And to say where are these clubs going to be in a few years who knows but that has very little to do with what you are being precious about footy wiz..

I was just speaking with a Senior player at Imps and have been told Hall will be lining up this week and it is nothing to do with recruiting or anything, Apparently he was on the clubs radar in the summer but he wished to go on with SANFL but now with a change of job he cant commit to SANFL now and is looking for somewhere to play.
Also he mentioned Collins has written a write up about the game on the weekend and told me to tell all you Meningie boys to have a read as you may see excatly how he felt from the weekend. www.impfc.com.au

Grasshopper I am sure the strongest team will be picked, it's the attitude at the club and Seniors players I'm sure understand that the best 21 are picked! So if the colt is in the best 21 he will be picked

I'm not meaning a colt shouldn't be their, I'm meaning either way an A grade standard player whether it's a colt or not, to miss out now as Hall will walk in that's all

As an imperials supporter i could not be more happy for us to secure the services of hall only because i like to win too much. I am a little dissapointed in some respects tho as i believe the mark of a good coach is to win tough games with a good side , we had a good side last week but failed . The reaction to get an sanfl full back to fix a one game loss is an expensive over reaction. Good coaches can get average players who play well as a team to win , there are a few clubs who have fantastic players that do not play well as a team and are not winning. The pressure is now firmly on the great man collo as he has inherited so many great players who are now 0 point recruits or at least low points he has the best juniors in the league ( arguably in the state ) just handed to him and now with hall just walking in they are a state team within a team , Collo could probably go to the snow for a few weeks off now as froggy could coach this group. Really undecided about this???
