any news boys on the full extent of steves injuries??

tips rnd 2.

bird vs lofty shouldnt be too much trouble here but i know that a couple of the hahn boys were impressed by birdwoods improvement. we'd be looking to play a really good 4 qtrs here. lofty by 20 goals

hahn vs onkas game of the round and will start to give teams a real showing of where they stand. cant go past hahndorfs onball brigade atm. close one, dorfers by 5goals

i.b vs lobe well done to the ib boys for a close win last wk. should be able to relax a bit more in the 4th qtr this week. ib easily by 26 goals

black vs barker another good game, but think the woods tall timber will win this one for them. woods by 8 goals

uris vs shanty dont think uris will be the power house of the last couple of yrs but still very capable of good wins. missing j.browns boot. still uris easily assuming its at uris ill go with 30 goals.

lets keep the behind the play incidents to a minimum this week hills boys!!

I could be wrong but I was told Keely and Parters were two other inclusions.

Surely my mate Bawdo is good enough to play A Grade week in week out for Ironbank. Kick lets him down a bit, but he is hard at it and has a bit of pace - two very good qualities to have in Hills footy. Is this MVC great a fringe player or has he been injured?

Bawdo is one of my favourite players, with his chase/tackle/smother being a stand out and as you say great for Hills footy. It has been a constant amazement that he has not played more A Grade games. He is in this week and hopefully will do enough on the big Lobey ground to stay there. :)

The report was made by Bridgewater not the umpires i believe.
Maybe Blackwood should have made a report on the first contact.
If the initial hit wasn't made then we wouldn't be having this discussion!

Panther, I realise you are from Blackwood, that's the only reason on Earth you'd be defending this bloke, but you can't justify or condone the hit, especially the severity, on the Bridgy player because they happened to be involved in a fair body on body clash, which only winded Silvy, a few minutes earlier.

The umpires didn't report because the sniper got him off the ball, he ran past the ball to engage the hit.

I hope his bank balance is sufficient to cover his oncoming costs, I wonder if Blackwood will be in a position to back him (financially) when he's on his way to court.

panther and big shrek, i understand you are looking after one of your own but how can you justify someone retailiating after getting winded by hitting someone in the face? can u please tell me of an incident where someone was hit in the face and as a result became winded? coz i will look up the magician on youtube!

For mine Bawdo doesn't get a consistent game because the list of quality midfielders at ironbank grows longer every year(That is not to say he doesn't deserve one)! But with quality midfielders such as Muffy, Howes, Muirden, Williams, Donald, Walter, Flaherty, Exelby going around who are all great tacklers and tough players who have great decision making and good skills it is going to be hard for him to find a consistent berth!

As for this weekend i will go with Onkas over Hahndy by 5 points- as i believe there midfield can almost match it with hahndorf and i think hahndorf will struggle to control shee and norton on a decent sized oval!!!

Blacky over Barker- Barker still a little off the pace for mine blacky should get up by 6 or 7 goals!!

Yep, the worst Birdwood have played since coming up to Central div!! We were under-manned (had 8 out from the side that played Hahndorf) and were totally out-classed by Lofty. Lofty ran hard all day and Birdwood couldn't keep up.

On a positve note, considering the B's were lacking numbers as well, they played pretty well and came closer to Lofty than what most would've thought.

Also the Senior Colts had thier first win since 2006 and are playing some really good footy. They should do alright this season.
