And talking Jezza Edson I believe he is up b4 the nafa tribunal tonight. His first game back from two weeks suspension last Saturdat he was reported for abusive language and then followed up with a second report for striking. His season could be anywhere between almost over and unable to play until 2012

Edwards was who I was thinking of, not Dunkley.

Fair point Cella Dwella, can't argue with the facts.

Some of the Ports guys had links to the area Phillips and Burford in particular.

Wauchope couldn't get fit last season, could barely walk, not sure if he is playing yet.

There has only been a couple from the Squids, fringe players at best. Except for Treloar but he is exactly like the Lions, he did want to play for them for the last X amount of years............

Burford,Phillips,Puddy,Fleming,Treloar and then some in the Bs. Just making a point Squids that I think there are a number of ex Ports who have played in the Northern Areas Football League in recent years and only one Lion I can think of. We had a few go over a few years back too. Run the Lions down all you want but get your facts right.

You are spot on Cella, when Port players go elsewhere the seem to go out of town moreso than the other Pirie sides (& more often tham not come back). But Lions or Sollies on the other hand seem to swap with one another. There have a few come to or leave Port locally but nowhere near the Solly/Lions merry-go-round. Not sure why, just an observation.
Add to that the latest whisper an ex Solly A's skipper trained with Lions during the week, might have something to do with the meeting that never happened at Solly the other Monday night. Any comments cella or ST? I dont know what the cause was.

cant even think of an ex solomontown skipper that would still be playing! maybe Duck and his sidekick Butch have asked Brian Webb,Larry Rawlins or Lauren Hellmans to come out of retirement to help them out a bit!

oh ok yes i did hear that he was sulking at training would of been about 6 weeks ago. he was sooking and carrying on not setting a very good example for the younger players allegedly. One of the biggest sooks to ever play the game. He did retire from playing A grade football several years ago. No loss if he leaves solomontown thats for sure he will fit in fine over there.
