No mention of it because the IB boys all got soft and went to a 21st instead of looking after their guests!!
Couldn't even muster a team for a boat race!

Unley won by 7 pts even though Birdwood had about 10 extra shots on goal. It was 7.13 to 8.1 at one stage.

Birdwood B's got up by about 10 goal.

Can tell you straight up that Scott Purling can play the game!
One of the best juniour players Ive seen. Dominated at under 17 and 19 level for Sturt. Won a couple of B and Fs and a premiership. Was also playing Reserves by the age of about 16 I reckon. I reckon Hahndy might have a bit of trouble getting him to commit cos Purls wasnt the most dedicated bloke on the training track.

I still dont think Hahndorf have the depth of other sides. Their top 6 or 7 might be as good as anyone in the comp but they fall away after that. Time will tell I guess.

From what I've read and heard it should be the most even HFL competition for quite some time. 7 of the 10 sides appear genuine finals chances with only Bridgewater, Birdwood & Lobethal no chance of featuring in September action.
