From a couple of chats with the Blackwood prez, I got the impression Blackwood would be a touch weaker this year than last. Have no names but the feeling was that there were one or two more departures than recruits.

Crickey, get on the back foot champ.

It may have been our most recent ex-coach doing the sniping, but that's because he's a sack.

And at least us Dev's don't sink the boot in on the field....

Played the last couple of season with Jake. Big unit, about 200cm and 100kg. Left footer with close to 50 games of League experience. Can play in the Ruck or key position forward. Should go well in the HFL.

i know blackwood were having a meeting last night to finalise the div2 situation, with the most likely outcome having their 3rd and 4th sides in the country div.

GTS, in the Courier I read it the other way they have only had 42 out to training and do not even have contacts left to fill 4 sides so I expect them to be fielding a C grade this year.

Heard on the weekend the Blackwood will indeed only have 2 div 1 sides and a c grade. Good move for them IMO.

with the Blackwood Country div demise, it's only a matter of time before several more div 2 clubs go down, Cally,Maccy,Gum all sruggling to recruit enough players that can get them off the bottom rung on the ladder

Nah FM, they've had clubrooms for years now. Built in 2001. Changerooms need upgrading though.
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.
