Count the League experience for starters. If you are a Hahndorf person you have to be excited with that list.

Thats true, but if they have recruited so well how are they going to sit with this new points system??

From reading on here, it appears some of their recruits played juniors with the club so would be minimal points.

hahndy sit fine with the points system as bishop cooper and kaesler are all ex juniors so attract minimal points, nicholas will attract full points but brett howman attracts minimal as he hasnt played for 5 years. squire hasnt trained as yet so dont know about him but mags have got a handy bloke from mt gambier for $0-fa, just decided to play because he has a mate there, ty someone - reasonably handy. team will be much better than in previous years with alf, buzz, wyld, parham, layley & co having some decent players around them but early flag favourites is a very big call

Any truth to the rumours they are in trouble for numbers? Its probably all talk but a rival club coach let me in on the fact that two weeks ago they had 13 players for 08 with a big turn over. Is Butchard still with them?

butchard has retired i believe, his back is pretty stuffed. bents also has left but not 100%. they have lost alot of the players from last year like kluzek and co. dont think that tere are to many upset about that. but have picked up a ruckman from strath footy mad that you and jb no from basketball. rumour also is that a couple ex central district reserve players mid 20's possible signed up.

also rumour has it flogga may line up for the devils this year. wife just had a child so he will c how the kid goes before dedicating himself to the devils!

bents did some ruck work. great player and welcomed by all locals at the club. he and butch one of a only few to stay at the club for more than one year. think u will find with bridgy yes they are struggling for numbers and have so for a few years. have a lot of younger players and some quality locals but can never recruit enough good players who will stay at the club.

if they could recruit 5 or 6 quality players than they would become competetive. not saying they would make the finals but would at least be alot better than they are now. problem is all the recruits they have got in the past have not stuck it out and upset alot of local players.

so how close are raiders to signing rugilo?

Is Nathan Petersen-Grey Playing for Lofty or down at Westies? It all seems to be falling into place at Lofty, esspecially if flogga plays!

Bridgewater will be Div 2 within 2 years unfortunately...that's my guess for what it's worth.

good numbers and good enthusiasm on the track at bridgewater. one of the better pre-season turn outs for a few years.

the only reason there's conflicting stories is cos people who haven't been down to training are going on whats happened in the past and cos lofty snipers love sinking the boot in. bridgewater will be competitive

yeah but that is the case every year. they keep the locals and the recruits leave. so the next year they just recruit more players. problem is there have not been to many decent recruits as of late and raiders have lost 2 quality locals in monty and flyn to other clubs!

there's a few outs for sure but if people live up to their word there may be a few more players heading out soon. mostly younger blokes coming to the club this season so will be interesting to see how they go. Few past players back at the club too so will be good to see them out again.
