Thats an outsiders viewpoint Mole, and an uninformed one...

Many outsiders think Jervois players only play for the money, and think their players are on much more than they are actually on. You would be surprised to hear who is on the payroll, how much they make and who doesnt earn a cent...

Cash Cows is a big call Floataboy...do your research and you would be surprised. I would say people like Wait, Sayers, Sheill, Harrowfield and Puckridge dont play for chicken feed and hurt Imps bank balance more than the top five money earners for Jervois.

And as for Dalwood...why is he seen drinking socially at Imps? Unless the Standard have their office at the Imps clubrooms he is there pretty often....

We have our local umpires drinking at our club during the week and after games.
That doesn't mean a thing Dutchman

Just saying he is never spotted drinking at Jervois. Some posters were making the assumption he is a Jervois supporter. Dont think thats true.

imps clubrooms are open weekly and he lives just down the road so where else would a football fanatic drink during the week. he is often seen drinking in clubrooms till late at night after games too, pretty sure at more places than imps.

and i agree that imps are also paying out a sh*tload to their players, you would be the top two paying teams by a huge leap.
so how many 'locals' have you got playing out a the bluds? count em on one hand or not? locals meaning players who have not been brought in in the last 4 years. mypo beat them in round 1 of 2004? and after that their team seemed to multiply by 3 or 4 players for the next 5 weeks.
if they all hang around next year then that is awesome for the club, if not and half of them decide to leave, there is a good chance it will cripple the club. as with the new points system they wont be able to go and bring in 5 or 6 players to replace them. just makes you wonder how much a flag is worth these days?

Not uninformed at all Sir Dutch, you dont know everything as you like to think.
I know who is getting how much and know that most do play for the money, but because most of them knew eachother before going up to jervois makes it easier for them to "GEL" on the field and work for eachother.

Lets count the locals from the GF team:

Jarvis, C Braun, Mason, Kartinyeri, Hill, Burkett, L Richards, Stimson, Gazzola, Kluske, Fidge, Baxter.

If you have another hand, you can include these blokes that played at least a handful of games in A grade this year:

S Braun, K Richards, D Richards, Cobbledick, Crouch, Haimester, Spud, Breezy...

Not a bad local list if you ask me...

Knowing a couple of blokes from Sullies doesnt mean you are qualified to speak about "most" of the players from Jervois Mole.

You wouldnt have the first idea who gets how much. Most of the players dont even know how much they are getting...if they say they do they are only guessing...

You are right on one thing. Picking players you know from junior days certainly helps on and off the track. Picking the wrong players could cause more unrest at a club than its worth.

I have played with/against most of the "imports" and still speak to them, and its got nothing to do with a sullies connection, like you seem to think.
Hope i now qualify mr high and mighty.
So i think i can speak about MOST of them if i want.
How are you "qualified" to speak about them?

Lets just say i have been involved in discussions about paid players with the people that make the decisions at the club.

Not trying to be high and mighty at all. Just telling you the facts. After personally speaking to 80% of the "imports" since the GF win i can confirm that your claim about any of them looking to play elsewhere is not true. And yes, some of them have discussed the inevitable possibility of taking a pay cut...no dreams there!

I guess the chat about Jervois buying premierships will always be there, but i think the long list of locals might have surprised a few.

Sorry GWW, i was just listing locals from the Murray i.e. not from city clubs. You are correct in pointing out that Lalo is from Meningie.

What's the problem then? Why criticise? Each club has the same rights, it's up to them what they do...

I know quite a few are still unsure about where they are playing next year.
Which is a fact, and doesnt mean that they have told the high and mighty dutchman.
Just because you dont know, doesnt mean it isnt true. Or is that a concept that you refuse to believe.
I still think most will stay, but saying that they are not looking anywhere else is crap.

I guess my point then is that he wouldn't have shifted clubs unless there was a $$'s element to it, but i dont know that for sure, but presumably there would have been some inducement to leave Meningie. I'm not sure Lalo would really be put in the Jervois "locals" category. But as mentioned Jervois have the money, good luck to them, they've done very well in last 4 years. Still doesn't stop one thinking where all the money comes from (not implying anything illegal), its pretty much been like this for the Bluds since i started following RMFL in mid 80's (i can recall in late 80's when they recruited Max Parker, John Roberts, Lindsay Heaven who obviously would have been on big $$'s........probably wasn't their best recruiting though, all at the end of their careers, the players they've targeted lately, ie young guys in their mid 20's often fringe SANFL players, has been much more beneficial for them).
