I didn't see the game, but going by quarter by results, presumed there was a big wind advantage, interesting you say there wasn't much of a breeze biffboy. Was the town end the main scoring end?

Can anyone shed any light on whats happening out at Tailem?

Have a friend who is a very promising young player, but says he lost his love for the game playing at Tailem, and is sick of the crap there and will not go back.
He's put in 2 requests for a transfer, so he can go and be with his mates, and get back to playing for the right reason, but Tailem have denied both requests, saying he's a required player, having played 1 B Grade game this year.

He's supposedly a 'Required Player', but they have made NO attempts to contact him, and keep ignoring any attempts of comminucation from him to try and sort it out! So it's not like they actually want him back anyway, they are just stonewalling him to get at him just because they can...

He's at the point now where he is considering just giving up the game all together... What give's them the right to make any player feel like that?? Seriously poor form, and from what i've seen on here, he's not the only one from there that's either walked or considering it.

Sorry but I could argue the same thing. Knowing how many phone calls and voicemail messages went unanswered, and how long it actually took to get to speak to the President. Then when he finally did answer the phone, I myself overheard the conversation where he agreed to clear him, then waited 3 days before denying it again..

But all that is beyond the point now. The point is, yes, there is this little 'required player' loophole the club can exploit, but seriously, why keep pushing it, and why push someone out of the sport altogether simply because they don't want to play at that particular club anymore?

"Required Player" is no longer grounds for holding a player. Unless he owes the club money he should be free to go.

All RMFL clubs have been offered a sponsored wirless connection by Telstra in Murray Bridge so it should be quite simple for clubs to update scores on the fly on gameday, unless of course they don't have a laptop with a usb connection. If clubs have not got their wireless yet then I suggest they pop on down to Telstra and speak to Ross who will help them out.

Nah it was to the other end. Probably was a 3 or 4 goal breeze

Looking forward to Mannum v Mypo this weekend. Two former Mail Medalists in Eckerman and Harvey going head to head in the guts. Shut down Gene and the scoring options seem a little low for Mypo and Mannum have too much class for mine with Hall and Mueller. Throw in O'Malley, Pech and Hales and too strong IMO.

SH!T DAy so..........
I've seen every team play this year, so here's my Top 10 players from this year alone

1, C. Hall
2, A. Eckermann
3, C Ladhams
4, A, Mcloed
5, J. Kay
6, M. O'Malley
7, M. Thompson
8, L. Harrowfield
9, N. Wark
10, C. Harvey

G. Robinson a close 11th, with obvious blokes like T. Waite, yet to hit their form.

It was pretty disappointing, I agree Anzac. I hope Meningie sold plenty of Fish Sandwiches and got some money from the gate, otherwise you could forgive them for waking up on Sunday and feeling like they had been robbed...

I guess i just held him in such high regard that i expected alot more from him and motlop. I was also suprised that there weren't anywhere near as many people as I would have expected for the bears first home game with their star studded team. My only regret was not having one of those fish sandwhiches, maybe you can shout me one next time Mannum go down there?

Lucky the price of Coorong Mullet has gone north. Was talk of being packed in like sardines, but could have swung my cat and not hit anyone. Crowd was very well behaved with one notable absence!
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?
