muckholes wrap up nice and fast.

Josh Hollit most deservant winner of an APFL medal for 8 years plays with his heart on his sleeve and doesnt lick the unpires arse, well done Josh you are a great bloke and a bloody good footballer. Good work to Mallala a good win Longies did not deserve to win when you pay players a 1000 bucks a game but cant make it grand final day suck shit longies you will never win a grand final when you dont have blokes playing for the jumper and you are 10 years off having a side that will.

Eags will be back next year hungrier than ever and good luck to the rest of you have a lot of ground to make up to be as succesfull as we have been since 2001. Keep paying for the quick fix the rest of you, i know we pay some blokes but i can say i put my nuts on the line every week for my mates.

We are not arrogant we respect our opponents and more often than not beat them. We take it on the chin and get on with it.

Hey Wedgetail you should make a comeback next near have a spot for you in the forward lines.

Yes couldnt agree, its disgraceful to have paid players not available on the only day that counts. I believe alot of clubs splash money around as you said Muckhole for a quick fix and dont even back their own younger kids in, which United have.

ok muck, you have no juniors coming through so where are your players coming from? imports i would say! so the the big bear was right! your policing of the salary cap is a joke over there,so they (united fc) tried to buy a premiership and failed! :lol was predicted, but apfl fail to act when it is so obvious to other that there is a problem. club passion and the players commitment to each other is the key to success. not money! to promote junior's while you have sum talented tough players to protect and show them way is the right thing to do and the eagles are still in this position unlike united.buying players when they have some very talented youngsters which will be around for years. not like imports, take the money and run. IS THE APFL LOOKING INTO ALL THE ALLIGATIONS? (clubs capped at $25,000)

Rooster there is a window of rest until 1pm today when the bus leaves again.

Well done boys, sensational. Its not until you win one you realise how tough it really is. Hard to believe a club can win as many as eagles have over the past few years. Credit to you blokes, im sure this year will make your next one that much sweeter.

Muck, your playing yourself down a bit mate. You were a highly deserving recipient of the award a few years back, and id have to say Thorney and Slats also deserved theirs. too hard to think about any others. Teams need arrogance, look at the success of central districts, it comes naturally with success, its just about using it too your advantage, which you must admit Hummocks have used it well over the years.

Have to feel for some of the united players, well maybe one or two. The management of thier footy club really has let them down, as i wipe away a tear.

apfl finances might been looking good but head honcho brad might need most of it when buying his next offical outfit  too much hobb knobing? some say a tarpoline would do the job  the rest could go to ump andy for a hair transplant   if any money left over give it to united so they can buy some more players

well done Mallala, enjoy.
Bad luck Longies, wasted year. Hope Che sells heaps of art in China to make up for missing match payments sat.
Muck, dont paint the eagles as desparate. Saying there is a spot in the forward line for me does not send a good message. 3 goals in 4 years is not the sign of a forward line gun recruit.
The boots are getting polished as we speak though. Early pre season for me. That way the Hammies should be shot by March

I See Two Wells have advertised for a coach? Mossy not doing it again? I thought he was making some progress with the lads. Any other clubs looking for coaches at this stage? It will be interesting to see if Roger Campbel goes again at the Rams or if Hamley will look to get back a succesful ex-coach? Any other likely moves??

Balaklava - Will Battle go a 3rd Year?
Eagles - Has jez had enough?
Longies - Will Broady depart after just the one season?
Two Wells - Advertised?

Whats the goss? this is a forum? lol

To early for all of that just now, matey, some of us are still picking the scabs off our elbows from the last game, probably know in a couple of weeks who's going and who's staying.

For mine it would be a mistake for my beloved roosters to part with Mossy, he has a young group who will be destabilised with a new bloke at the helm, we'll soon see.

you're right, bit too early. Sounds like Start is sniffing around for a return to the APFL coaching ranks.
You are on the money about the scabs. Good footballers keep their feet and i have two massive divets in each knee that keep me realistic about my abilities.

What's with all the United bashing all of a sudden? Mallala were the better team on Saturday (and have been most the year) and deserved to win. Well down Swampie and the boys. It's not about imports and who pays players the most money. If you stuck around Long Plains you would see the imports we have (only 5) hang around the club after every game and enjoy each other's company. Sure, they're paid players, but they respect their team mates enough to get to know them. Nearly all of the blokes who played on Saturday are local lads, or have been around the club for a few years and are now classed as locals.
Alot of what Muckhole said sounds like sour grapes because United knocked the Eagles out this year. The Eages have been a great team over the years and have knocked their fair share of sides out in their time, so they tasted their own medicine. In your own words, "just cop it on the chin and get on with it". There's no need to badmouth United for being good enough to make a GF.

Not likely Wedgie, its been a interesting year in the APFL and good to see that the Mallala boys finish off a great year, which I think may have suprised a few people with their form.

Drop Bear - Not bashing United mate, but when your 2 Best Recruits are not available for the biggest game of the year? whats the point in having them at all??? Better off investing for the long term of the club with some promising kids. Its not like United have a big choice of players to choose from anyway, and they certainly not in a position to lose players because they dont get an opportunity.

GULLIVER HAS ENTERED THE ARENA
Felt it was time to do something about the constant dribble that has been going on in this forum the last couple of weeks. Firstly congratulations to swampy and his playing group. They are a class act no doubt. Arguably the most fittest team in years.Joel and Josh are crackers, certainly wiped the floor with our arses on the weekend.Mallala have done the hard work and they are well deserved. As for you muck ,not a single brain cell under that try hard hair style of yours.I think droppie has smacked the nail right on the head. It sticks out like a sore thumb that you are bitter about copping a pummelling at the hands of the tige's a fortnight ago.And as for Che,even if he was in the country he would only of lasted maybe a half. Losing the big firm hands of the schubes a week before the gf also was a blow.We love the big guy and he adds valuble voice to the group.I thought the lads did good to make it decent game for as long as we did. Most of you people would not have the slightest idea what goes on at longies, all these digs are way off Gents.Their have been some good friendships made at the water tower due to being able to hold on to their imports and they are still being made to this day. We will be back...............

I know where you are coming from with the Cock and big Paulie, but they weren't 100% fit and would be struggling. Like Gulliver said, I think losing Schubert was the biggest loss because he was certainly firing. As for not in a position to lose players, we had so many players keen this year a few unlucky boys had to miss out on the Reserves GF. As for our promising kids, they all had a run in the As this year and will be better players for it. We'll certainly enjoy the off season and be back next year.

Now bring on Haydos' summer of cricket demolition!! :D

United certainly missed schubby, cant replace blokes with a heart that big. All that were there early on sat should realise that united have some exciting times ahead. The talent in the under 17s senior colts team is exceptional, lets hope those boys dont go missing. Not sure about the bottles of piss being handed around the group during thier lap of honour though, pretty good indication of the unfortunate culture thats been present in that club for years now, i had to laugh though.

Mallala already put a ban on wearing thongs in 2008 like St Kilda has done for the past few years, apparently linked to hamstring injuries, Francis, R Montgomerie, Hollitt, Earl all love thier beloved thongs all had hammys gf week. Just for the record DB and Gulliver, has Chrissy C wear thongs. LoL
