well said grasshopper, i have no issue with having to pay to get in, at least my son who plays doesn't have to pay but i think the adults should it is a revenue raiser for the clubs and the rmfl

Round 2 this week will see some more interesting clashes..

Ramblers v Jervois: Ramblers look to have covered their losses better than expected with a couple of young guns, and will go in as strong favourites this week against a Jervois side who struggled after half time. Ramblers by 51-60.

Mannum v Tailem: The Eagles were disappointing in the second half in round 1, and they will need a lift from their big guns to be any chance against the inform Mannum side. Mannum at home by 41-50.

Mypolonga v Meningie: I heard a few weeks ago that McLeod was likely to play his first game against Mypo, and this would appear likely with Norwood having the bye this week. Mypo look to be an improved side this year, and a definite top 3 contender. Meningie's top 5 players are as good as any in the league, but it will be interesting how they go against clubs with a bit more depth. Mypo by 51-60.

Ramblers v Jervois: Im expecting Jervois to bounce back from the round one shock, however it wont be this week. Ramblers -30

Mannum v Tailem: Tailem's big guns will be keen to make amends. Can't see Tailem's mids keeping up with Mannum's. Mannum -20

Mypo v Bears: First game against an up and running Mypo will be a big factor this time round. Mypo +60

With the loss of Coulter with a hamstring injury Jervois look very fragile. Going to take a very special coaching display ( and playing ) by Ladhams to keep them up and about.

Jervois are good at pulling a mid season recruit and with $ leftover from Coulter's 'season ending' injury expect Taylor Walker to make an appearance if dropped throughout the year

I'm not sure why you've directed that against me - I selected 1 out of 3 (Mypo), a lot of people, including Standard preview got zero. Hardly anyone would have selected Ramblers to win, and Mannum/Jervois was seen by most people as a 50/50 game, in which case selecting the home side wasn't unreasonable.

After your complaint about paying to get into games, and now criticism of selected winners, I'm waiting for you to add something constructive to this forum.

Clubs do trainers passes so they're covered. Footy is relatively cheap to participate in compared to some other sports - I've heard junior soccer subs in the Hills are hundreds of dollars. Need to cover running costs somehow: affiliation fees, footies, umpires, ground/facility maintenance & so on..
