Yes, very interesting to see Dylan Hollit and Wilson named considering Sturt wouldn't allow Brad Hartman to play for us :?

Yeah, I guess they're not official lists. Clubs may enter those names, but they may not necessarily play, but who knows.

1. Jervois - League 14 3 87
1. Mannum - League 22 18 150

game was up for grabs at half time but mannum blew jervois away in the second, awesome team effort led by a great third term from Jarrod Hales who finished with 7 goals 3 behinds. I also heard that Coulter did a bad hammy, not sure though.

Interesting to see of the 2 results listed on Sporting Pulse so far, 2 upsets - Ramblers defeating Imps, and Mannum getting the points over the Bluds. No result listed yet for Tailem/Mypo.

Went to watch my first game of RMFL yesterday and was impressed by the standard of Mannum against Jervois who were clearly out run by a fit young list at Mannum, the whole list played quality football. But while outside the Bluds rooms at the end of the game someone was not very happy and gave the Jervois boys a real spray. Some of you boy's who have Mannum pegged for the spoon should re-consider.

Yeah, I think that was based on the amount of outs the Roos had and the uncertainty they'd be able to adequately cover them. But it appears they've done that better than expected and they will be right up there again. Their main issue could be depth when injuries occur as season progresses.

Difference will be youth and the ability to bounce back week after week, Jervois look a very senior side vs the Roo's.

The Roos looked very fit and impressive yesterday. With so many changes and several new players at the club, there would seem to be room for improvement. The old firm in Mueller, Hall and Maloney are complemented very well by the hard running new players in Pech, Harvey, Tonkes and Hales. It is April though!

Yep knocking off wallaroo by 15 and Barmera by 6 or 7 would have indicated the boys were in good form before the 1st game. And what is the deal with the senior players having to pay to gain access to the ground. What sort of mickey mouse league charges the entertainment to entertain. Each club should have 30 tickets for at least the A grade squad and the support staff... What a joke.

Think you might find this is the norm in country footy Hazel. Need to get your hands on a pensioner's card, or get to the game before 10am like The Duke.

Hey I dont mind paying it is great value for money, but what about the bloke that straps the boys for the love of it, and the players that dont get paid. It just seems wrong and disrespectful.

Prices have gone up a dollar this year which is disappointing. I'm not one for planting bad ideas in others minds, but I jumped in the boot yesterday before entry and split the fee with my mate. Turned out to be sheer brilliance when that bucket of chips and gravy became affordable later in the day ;)

Obviously you haven't been around country footy clubs for long. The Gate is usually an income source for the home club in most leagues. Just the way of life....

$3.50 for a can of draught yesterday, 50 cents extra per can would cover the loss at the gate.

I think you will find that most people involved with country footy are quiet happy to pay to come in the gate as they know how important that money is to the clubs
