yeh coz having a premiership sanfl footballer as a coach always loses u respect. he may be a space cadet but he knows football.
how can going from mullet man who knows nothing about football to Quino be anything but a step up?

No one on his team like him... that's the reason. He's extremely selfish, unprofessional and basically a knob. Gum are not gonna make finals this year... put someone in who can unite them as a club, not someone who, while he may be a good player, will divide the club even further.

Yep well said Informer(the real one) The man has issues. Why would you have him lead the club
By the sound of it we will see over the rest of the season
Be interesting to see if there is any improvement with the great man in charge
Seems to me Thommo has copped the flack from other problems at the club
At least they have been reasonably competitive since he came to the club

Alot of people on here have a fair bit to say about Gumeracha and not much good either. How about some of you offer yourselves up to help out ?? Quinno did a reasonably good job with the B's last year and provided not too many players fly the coup before the end of the season id expect us to stay around where we are now. If not Quinno then who around the club ?? Its hard to find someone more than halfway through the year. Most people here thought too that Thommos success was due in large part to who he brought and not how he coached, now I guess we'll see who was right. If the rumours are true and Sodes does come back (sweetlips you may have more info than youre letting on) then it can only be good for the club.

See the rest of the season out with what they have and then make decisions at the end of the year.

Good to see you back on Shortman thought you would chip in soon

Why would you ask people that have nothing good to say about Gum to help out.
Doesnt make sense to me. Going down the wrong track again

Gary Hughes could not coach either but with the people he brought to TV won premierships

I said in my last post lets see how Quinno goes for the rest of the season !

And as for Michael Soden coaching why not ask the Pres. Alex Tucker rather than rely on the rumour mill here ? I'm sure he would not spin you a story like I would

Good to see Ex Birdwood junior Sam Colquhoun playing so well in the AFL under 18 Championships.
Quote from todays game-
UNFLAPPABLE South Australian defender Sam Colquhoun carved Western Australia to shreds with a game-high 32 disposals, to lead his state to a decisive 50-point victory at Simonds Stadium on Friday.

South Australia's precise ball movement and overlap run proved too difficult to handle in round four of the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships, as it won 12.12 (84) to 4.10 (34).

Colquhoun has been one of the most outstanding performers of the carnival and he dazzled recruiters with a best on ground display on Friday.

The 17-year-old has a unique ability to think through all sorts of scenarios and consider 'what-if' situations by continually moving to contests.

Colquhoun owned the defensive half of the ground, with his 31 touches including 24 uncontested possessions and a staggering 17 handball receives.

Having watched Sam play as an 8 year old up till he finished in the Senior Colts and seeing some highlights of his last game (at these championships) it is fascinating that his style of play has not changed a great deal.

It will be interesting to see where he ends up. Not a game winner but his ability to read the game is extraordinary.
