Great to see Westies give Ryan Bennett a go. Will be interesting to see how he acquits himself at SANFL league level, as everyone from the RFL know he's a gun.

I'm not too concerned if he reads this forum or not and if I get kicked off so be it. I'm referring to 3 incidents. One behind the goals at the gate where spectators come in, one in the centre circle and one involving the Renmark runner. GR seems to make a big deal out of himself and bringing attention to himself for no reason when the game is about the players and supporters. Behind the goals he ushered off some kids that had a ball accidently go on the oval. he didn't just tell them to keep off the oval or stand back but ushered them off, raising his voice and made them go behind the cars - holding up play for a while. Then in the centre at one stage the ball got returned by the boundary umpires and left on the ground out towards the wing and GR was lecturing players and carrying on about irrelevant things instead of getting the ball and bouncing it - once again holding up play. The third one with the Renmark runner was "almost footy legends stuff". In the last quarter he chased the runner off the oval half way to the boundary yelling at him like a lunatick all over running more than one message which every runner does in the league so why this incident was singled out is beyond me. Once again this held up play and unneccessarily bought attention to himself. There is something wrong with that man if you ask me!!! He is not bigger than game and I think he likes the attention to the detriment of the game.

I didn't see the third incident but did hear about it.

The kids thing, well, I saw that and it was a bit over the top but he was right to shoo them off.

The ball thing was really odd, he was waiting for the boundary ump to give him the ball, but instead they left it behind him out near the wing for some reason.

Whether he was being spoken to by players or speaking to them I don't know.

So, the two incidents I did see, I didn't have a problem with, the runner one sounds a bit full on.

Get over it fellas.
I've seen most of you vent your frustrations at umpires on this forum at some stage.
Everyone's entitled to their opinion now lets move on.
