'Player are not allowed to discuss this with each other'??? You seriously don't think the players talk to each other about this. You being so defensive about the topic makes me think the players will discuss it more. It's no secret Central Division Clubs have tried to raid Dee land but can't due to the players being well looked after. The Deez have the strongest list in the comp and have spent well and that's nothing to shy away from. If they are going to have a crack at Central Division they will need to continue keep spending on the right kind of players.[/quote]

Look players do talk about it but from my understanding the strong hold at Echunga has nothing to do with the amount of money being flung around and I wouldn't be suprised one bit if they retained their current list and still added players next year. Let's not forget ifthey go up they get 15 points to use and from previous posts on here I'm lead to believe more than half their list are now locals and all their two pointers from this year will next year be 1.

A bit of movement on the clearances, Maccy losing a couple including big Loveridge while Birdwood are stocking up big time! Any other notable ins and outs?

Is the Big red muff Brad Smith playing at Maccy. Are Maccy paying him? Surely he's on the wrong side of 40.

Well the margin would probably be closer for the club if they did forfeit....

I wasted another Saturday at Callington although in the'Sun' unlike the rest of the comp.
I caught the last bit of another HFL game on the way back, that was fantastic.
The United Eagles must cease, the current administration has failed.............They would not get within 20 goals of even a C grade team in HFL.
The whole United Eagles program is a failure so they must stop, if in a few years time other individuals decide they would like to start a team in Callington (because of expanding population) please let the new dads run the revival.
This will be the last time I travel to that oval even for finals. As it will impact the HFL finances and I blame them for perpetuating this farce.

I sadly and reluctantly agree with all of the above. The Eagles will not listen to any help offered to them in terms of advice given from past stalwarts, or encouragement from participating C Grade clubs which would welcome and assist them in any way possible to stay afloat. This mess is the choice of Eagles' administration and the HFL. Like you Alaska, I won't visit that oval again, finals or not, unless a C Grade fixture is scheduled there.
Players win awards. Teams win games. Clubs win Premierships.
