I support the whole club Edgar but only get time out of my busy schedule to watch the A's. I've heard the name before and also some other members of the South Gawler faithful speak of a 'field mouse'? I am oblivious to what this means

I hear the 'field mouse' can be witnessed in the wee hours of sunday morning on the dance floor of the Exchange Hotel... not unlike Justin Timberlake i'm told...

It can be an interesting place to be...

So Hafey, do you think the barossa faithful will be calling for their coaches head, or new players or what?

Definitely seemed to struggle in the tipping department BP... Lets see how i go this week.
Some good games coming up

South v Nuri
Angaston v Gawler Central
Freeling v Kapunda
Tanunda v Willaston in an upset

I think Barossa might have a fun week with the bye and getting run into the ground at training

Coombs is a average player. The only way he gets the ball 30 times is because he is so small. Every time he was about to get tackeled he would duck like a scared girl and get a too high free kick. Looking at his face it looks like it has taken a number of hits and give's the look of a punshed up lump of clay. You are right when you say he dosen't need fitness when he will end up in the B's.

Holden, i sense you have spite towards this David Coombs. The bloke has a league medal under his belt by 'ducking' into tackles he isn't scared he just knows he can get free kicks like that. He has skills that cant be taught to an ordinary person and is a valuable asset in any side. He also gets into the opposition teams head with constant S**t talking and puts them entirely off their game. Very smart footballer.

You always chop a dead fish off at the head and that is where Barossa Districts need to start , however they dont have the finance to replace a coach is getting paid in meat and petrol vouchers .

The players have gone from having a coach with years of amauter league experience and resources to there water boy now at the helm , directing them, and trying to reinvent the wheel . You dont need to be Nostradamus to predict that it will never work .

It would make a fantastic hollywood film , we all love a rags to riches story ... it would be the half time orange peeler turned A grade premiership coach of his beloved bulldogs and a statue errected in the main street of Lyndoch in his honour .

seriously , what a joke !!!

I have just read in the Herald that the Barossa players had an hour 'lock-in' after their game. It was an 'open' discussion between players and coach apprently.. I wonder what was said???

Hafey, that is one of the funniest posts i have ever read and agree that the current barossa coach belongs in a homeless soup kitchen and not at the helm of a successful BL&G team. Hafey - 3 votes

Holden, I sense you have been on the end of a David Coombs towelling up, at least once or twice in your life?? Am I on the money?

I have played with the man before, and can tell you, his skills are far above average. He also has a great sense of where to get the ball... I agree with you though, he does love getting the cheap free kicks... but I ask you - wouldn't we all??

Hafey - so you are suggesting the Barossa Bullpups are akin to a rudderless boat... or perhaps a castrated porn star?? It looks fine on the surface, but once you take a closer look it is clear that there is going to be no performance???

I guess all we can look at is the results to date... I for one would never have expected Barossa to be winless going into Round four...

Edgar05 I have never been at the end of a Towelling up from David. All I saw on Saturday was a playing looking for an easy free all day. And when you see that my impression was he is an average player.

Holden if you were at the game you would have also witnessed the ambulance rock up to take David Coombs away for leather poisoning. The bloke is a gun, end of story.

Holden you have no idea. He may be a bit unfit but the bloke can play. He has been ducking tackles scince he was a kid and still is getting free kicks, smart play. Scared girl you joke. You wont see him playing b grade footy.

Both Bayliss & Bevis had 30 touches each and terrorised the Bulldogs midfield from the opening bounce. Great character building win for the Lions which should get some chins wagging around the league this week.

Any word on how coombs played. Is he fit this year?

Apparently Coombs was pivotal in getting the lions across the line... reports are that he hasn't been training the house down, however Coombs always seems to find the pill regardless of his engine size...

He never has trained the house down but he still finds the ball and uses it better then most

So Holden, are you following South? Or are you going to watch them again because of Barossa's bye?
