Hales and Gordon both good size.

I wonder how they'll fit in with the points? unless they are 0 pointers? Harvey, Pech and Thomas will all be 3 points, along with Hall who would still be a couple... Is that confirmed?

Yankalilla in the GSFL were able to get around the points system with a few underage SANFL players, a year or 2 ago, I wonder if Mannum are using a similar approach.

The points rules have changed this year. If they have played 20 games at U/18 level in the SANFL they will all attract 2 points. There is no way around it.

They put a couple of U18's on the bench to get -1 for each

From the SANFL website " A player under the age of 18 who has played more than 20 games at SANFL Under 18, reserves and/or League level - attract 2 additional points."
This was the only change to the APPS this year. Given this rule the boys mentioned above would attract 2 points.

2 of them turned 19 last year, but played in the 18s does that change the points?

Your on the the money there teaoboy, pretty sure $400 is the most we paid anyone last year. No I haven't seen the books but did talk to a lady who was doing them and she was surpirsed country footy players got $400 a game. Needless to say she was amazed when I told her there are people on over $1000 a game at other clubs

Lots of country clubs do a portion of the payments by the book and the rest as a cash payment; I don't think having someone on the books @ $400 would mean that was all they were getting. Players getting $1000+ in the country there is no way any of that would be recorded/taxed, maybe $400 or so ;)

Noticed on the Amateur League Clearances list that ex North Adelaide player Heath Younie has put in a Clearance to Jervois. Most recently played at CBC Old Collegians.

Younie dominated the games he played in div 4 and id imagine would do the same in the RMFL. Although admittedly div4 is well below the standard of the RMFL.
He'd IMO be in the top 5 players in the RMFL

If the Bloods manage to get Coulter back from NA, they will be a genuine top 3 contender. There is a bit of a difference between their top 8 and bottom 8 players though. In saying that, the same also applies to Mypo, Tailem and Meningie.

I cant be bothered going back through the past pages but i hear Mannum have a couple guys from Angaston, Is that true and how do they go? I hope For Mannum's sake they are better than that Kennedy dud from Tanunda.
Are they getting much coin or is Mannum a bit strapped for cash?

we have picked up harvey and pech from angaston, two of that clubs top 5 players, harvey is last years mail medallist, and a runner up to it for the previous 3 years, he is a fit unit and pech is just as good. mannum is building a formidable midfield and will hopefully be up there at years end.
