GO YOU LIONS!!!!!!
A great effort to come from the Elimination Final to knock off Kangarilla.
Gary Hughes and his men cop a bit of flack here, but I'm sure all would agree that the Lions have had a great finals series
And importantly, for the future of the Club, great to see the Junior Colts take the flag as well.

HFL site has been updated with all scores, for interest sake. Few surprise results today TV in the A's and at Dorf land Blackwood over Ironbank was a huge surprise. Pity for Roos fans that our colts were knocked out by uri's and dorf's this morning.

Very Good Effort from the elimination final PP but i have to say i strongly DISAGREE with tv's future as when Gary leaves for Lobethal in a couple of weeks with his money and SHEEP your club will become the next milang!!

wow, huge effort from the Lions  well done.

Congrats to Scotty Peters who has put in a lot of hard work with the junior lads around the area. I played a few years at the club and the colts were almost non-existent at the time.

Interesting to hear Blackwood got into the B's GF. Think that makes Lofty's task a bit easier next week as IB are a bit of a nemesis side for them. As we all know Blackwood are all peasants :D . Did Leather-pants Page play the full 4 quarters?

Who got up in the A's? I am guessing the Cabbage by the lack of amazed postings at Blackwoods thrilling upset. What was the score anyone (too lazy to look at the HFL page)?

GTS I don't think the articles are actually written by the club, think Owen has something to do with it. I reckon its his idea of humour??? Can't wait to see what they write about the mighty devils and demons this week? I dare say if they write anything like the Kangarilla article there will be many discusted footy fans on Grand Final day

Do you have a copy of the Kangarilla article BM? Haven't been to any finals games due to work commitments. I did hear a bit about it but no-one had a Budget to enlighten me
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

This is it word for word....
Singing the Blues
Roo boys are ready for back to back
What an insult to us. Having to play a bunch of scrubbers who only just made the final five. We were hoping for a bit of competition but we are now thinking of letting our B Grade play both games. Just take a look at what we have to offer. Wayne at the helm, league experience, the most qualified and smartest coach in the hills, and with him he has the best player in the state in Thorpey. Wat a top notcher, could play AFL if e wanted but just loves the double blues, and Jacko, gets sore feet from the million kicks he gets every week. The Wakefield boys love scrap and are too talented for anything the Lions have, and Raidis, isn't he an action man. No frills, no messing around just power football at it's best. And they think Battams can take on anyone, well we've got Nitro lit up and ready to explode and heaven help anyone who gets close to him.We have already suggested the Hills League have some officials on the gate at half time to refund some of the entrance money to supporters because the game will be well and truly over by then. One only has to look back to the minor round and see how those pussy cats performed against the might of the Roos - embarrassing, wasn't it. The Lions should remember Kersbrook last year. Aren't they a northern side, didn't they come from a similar position as you? Do yourself a favour and get back in your cars and drive back to the Hillbilly country you come from and save yourself from total humiliation because the Roos are unbeatable.

Sounds like it was written by a sub editor of the Budget, I am talking about TM from the umpiring brigade. only three people contribute to the Budget, Owen, TM and a staff member at the Courier. I would be surprised if it was the last person......

Whoever wrote it, and for whatever reason, ie an attempt at humour, it is a disgrace. If I was Kangy's I'd be ropable, because you'd think it would have fired up TV,even to some small extent, which in the end was enough.

Yeah, it's hard to believe that Blackwood's B grade got through to the grand final considering even we beat them and that was also on their home ground with us using one or two of our colts!!

I hope for everyone's sake they don't have Country Division sides next yeah and just go the A, B and C grades in Central.

To see their thirds get to the grand final and their seconds hardly win a game (in country div) - we all know it's bullsh*t who they play when it comes finals time.

People can have their opinions, but that Kangy article is a dead set disgrace. You can really only sit back and laugh at the uneducated peanut that wrote such tripe.
And I dare say, on what would be a big Monday in TV land, that article would be above a urinal at a local pub for aiming practice.
And I don't even give a sh#t about TV...

which TM are we referring who wrote the article. The Great Man (McDonald) or the little twerp (Morrison)? That is a disgrace.

Nice to see reasonably good umpiring on the weekend. Certianly played no part in the result in the Bs. Blackwood a cut above IB and Lofty too on that form. I don't care if they brought players in from their Country team late in the season, it's still only their B Grade as their A Grade played straight afterwards.

Tips this week....

J/C Ironbank. I'm biased but who cares, no side can touch them. 10 goal win.

U17 haven't seen many games so no idea.

B - Blackwood by 3 goals. Lofty have now been warned.

In the As I'd say the cabbage will be pissed off about last loss to Lofty but won't be enough to get them over the line. Lofty too much pace. 5 goals again.
