Big game this week in all grades! Uraidla v Blackwood is an interesting match up given last weekends results and their most recent contest. In that game( which I wasn't at) I heard that Uraidla rested some key players trying to get them right for the finals series. It would be a bit premature to right off Uraidla given their consistently good performances over the last five or so years so I'm tipping a hard fought win to the cabbage. Having said this, I thought Blackwood looked very impressive against Onkas- just not sure if they were that good or the dogs were that bad on the day. Very surprised to see such a one sided contest in favour of blackwood. Onkas seemed to miss Smart terribly and with some accurate conversion by Blackwood early it never got going for the dogs.

I expect Ironbank to beat blackwood comfortably in b grade this week. Campbell is on fire at the moment- he seems the main threat up forward for the Thunderers and is kicking plenty of goals. What happened to Onkas in b grade at the end of the season?? They were looking very dangerous about half way through the year.

BF I think you will find that none of the above are available. Murph is definite no, Alby is away with work @ Bordertown. Blake may have put in an application but have good knowledge that the job will more than likely come from town. 1st time in over a decade someone from outside the area will be appointed, if a good enough coach is found, mind you.

I just can't see Uri's going out in straight sets.
They just wouldn't accept the meek challenge put up in the last quarter vs the Devs and will bounce back.
Gigney may have to take Loffler and then Brown will have more room. Whereas Lofty had some really good backline contributors. I'm not sure if Blackwood can do that.
In the Magoos, I agree with PN, IB will be too good. Their FF should kick another 5 and against Uris (who've struggled a bit to kick winning scores) that could be enough.

Have to agree that it would be surprising if the Cabbage Cutters disappear in 2 games. Too much class for Blackwood when at full strength. Saying that, Blackwood went straight out after not losing a game a couple of years ago........
Like JQ said I think they may be a bit thin down back to hold Loffler and Brown. And to be honest not a massive Gigney fan. Last time I saw him play the only kicks he got was after the other team slotted a behind. A bit inconsistent.....
Bankers in the B's for another shot at Lofty next weekend.

Oh and JQ.....Chuck Norris can tell time from a sun dial......at night!

Bernie...I like it, but Chuck Norris has 2 speeds: walk & kill.

Chuck Norris gave multiple orgasms to the furniture just by sitting on it........

Imagine if Chuck Norris played football........Can you kick a nine point goal????
Which Hills team would he play for too?

Jake "Chuck" Norris plays for IB, will suit up in the 2's tomorrow... but watch the Lofty boys quickly try & claim that he'd play there of course!

Interesting to see how Pagey structures his day tomorrow... has been playing 2's during the year & leaving them at 3/4 time (read: 1 down on the bench) to prep up the 1's team.

Posted similar (earlier in the year) that when this happened the 2nd time we played them, although not necessarily costing them the game as we werealready in control, heads did drop & IB ended up running all over em.

Surely now a GF spot is up for grabs he's made way in the magoos for a 4 qtr contributor, surely?

Yes it will be interesting 2o2s I have been thinking about this as well.
He did play very well in the Blackwood final v onkas and helped them get over the line in that great last quarter.
I can not see them winning the 2's without him but 3/4ers may not be enough.
