I'll back you there GWW, one of the funniest things I have ever read in a footy write-up was by this fella earlier in the year.

A certain ex AFL player (currently coaching) looking that outta shape that it seemed he may have been rubbed down with a vanilla slice pre-game!!!

He he he Classic =D>

Note - His work mates still have it pinned up on the notice board out front for all to see & chuckle at...

The bloke can come up with some good things. Its a pity he couldnt play the game, so i hear.

I'm not sure thats really relevant. Hes made a huge contribution to the RMFL and although he does dribble on from time to time, hes worth a read.

Well hopefully he reads this forum & after those last 2 crap posts your his next target Hills.

Not that its particularly apples for apples, but I dont think you'll find that Eddie Maguire played much A-grade footy either & he's making a fairly healthy living out of footy these days.

Dalwood is a good bloke- says lots of things to get a reaction!! he is good for game and not just RMFL, gets out to plenty of other nearby leagues and has a good understanding of players and clubs around the Hills, Mallee and Riverland.

Imps would be shattered once again, they also lost the under 17's and under 14's (they lost all 4 last year). They're a very strong club but surely this lack of success on the day that matters has to have some type of demoralising effect on the overall club.

Its a brilliant effort by Jervois, 4 in a row, they have a lot of $$'s, but you have to give them credit, their ability to win close games, particularly in finals is a great effort.

What a great grand final!!!! Almost have to feel for the imps, na not really. Trevor Rigney BOG, and Zacca Ewer 2 goals from 50 in the last quarter including the winner with about 30 seconds to go!
For all of you guys who didnt get out there to watch Hills, i dont think he will be on here bragging about it. He had one kick for the day, got holding the ball 3 times, including a crucial one in the last 5 minutes. Hopefully it will bring the kids ego back to earth. Im embarresed for him, cant imagine how he would feel. He didnt even drink after the game and he was the first one to leave.
One last thing Hills, If you talk it up and you dont put it up, I think you should of shut up!

Bit harsh Get a Kick and FootyMad...
The bloke just won an A grade flag, let him enjoy it. He was out with all of the boys yesterday and last night and they are kicking on today. There were not too many standouts, as there normally aren't in a GF, and he held his own.
Great fairy tale win to the Bluds! Couldn't have scripted a win like that!
Not sure where to from here for Imps...new coach, new players? You could almost sense the Bluds were going to win again, and i think some of the Imps players could as well.
If you looked at the two teams after the game i dont think the loss hurt the Imps players enough. I know the paid players at Jervois love the club and its players, it makes you wonder if its the same at Imps...

I think Footy Mad and get a kick are a little jealous as hills got a premiership medal and they didnt. Thats what counts, even if he did have a stinker.

the boys i spoke to sat night were definetely hurting from imps. as far as fielks goes, he only applied for the job this season because the club approached him and asked him to again. they werent overly impressed with the few applications that got passed in. so win or lose, fielks would have always left at the end of this season.

jervois were too good on the day (again), and as the great coach timmy said to the imps supporters "if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys". absolutely classic!! especially considering they would surely be the second highest paying club in the league.

and as far as dalwood goes, he is an absolute pain in the neck to those players who he has digs at each and every week, but he does do a huge amount for the sport, and also for the paper. i dunno if they would sell half their papers during footy season if dalwood wasnt writing in em.

Who was the Jervois player who chose to play in the B grade with his brother, as he thought they were more likely to win a flag.....

Is that a question or a statement Dog? Not sure if any of the players chose to play B grade on the weekend. If we are thinking about the same person they didnt get picked to play A's...
