For the last 25 years they have been the most inconsistent and underperforming club I have ever seen, apart from 1 premiership in 1993.

Two of the best umpires to ever umpire in the Mallee / Murray Lands leagues were Deane Lindner and Lester Cattle both Peake legends. Of course they and the umpires now would be umpiring to the standard and style of the Mallee Football League a completely different style to the Div 7 superstar umpires you would all be used to.

Seems to me crap footballers are bagging so called 'crap' umpires because a free is the only way they can get a kick.

The only way we can get a kick is from a free hey ? you would know having watched every game i'v played? and where did i say div 7 umpires were superstars oh thats right i didnt and i must just be a div. 7 player cause thats where i played last year hey ? none of us have played higher grades have we ? you knowing everything there is to know would be aware of that i'm sure .

who is we :o
Some like to say Arrogant, I like to say confident.

Apologies Carey, no one would be more happier than myself than to see Peake win their first game this year.

Supa would you no how much the other clubs are paying out to put there team on the park each week? I no how much peake is and i was wondering if it is anywhere near what other clubs do. We did have the two murray umpires on sat. i no i only played Div 7 last year and have played it for the last couple of seasons but all im saying is i have never seen so many free kicks to full fowards ever. Im not blamming it on our loses as we have been a bit of the mark all season. just hard to bust your guts in the backline to then hear a full forward go down screaming and have the umpire run in award a free kick and talk to the full foward on first name bases and be happy with what he has done. After seeing some of the free kicks that Jamie Downs didnt get on sat i had the thought that it was as if the umps didnt want us to get close. Maybe im wrong?

Carey - if it makes you feel any better, I haven't had a free in two games, plus two trial games this season, and I'm playing FF.

You're not bad MalleeBull. Not bad at all.
Just because you've been playing Playstation games for the past four weeks doesn't mean everyone else has....

maybe you should umpire if your worried about cash all the time. i heard that the mini colts are on $25 a game plus a pie and a coke for the a grade boundary. you could even do the magoos if you get in quick???????????. bring a white shirt. whistle is supplied.

Supa- True Peake have been poor over the years- in A Grade football- Club still very successful. For a small town to keep putting out full teams in footy and netball is a great effort. The Club has been very successful in colts football through the 90's but just cannot hold kids! While I admit that a club is recognised through its A grade team a little deeper look shows a pretty successful , definitely proud club.
Your post lacks credibility when you name Lester Cattle as one of the best umpires?? obviously haven't tried to play with him umpiring have you!!
Can't believe that I agree with floater head- The umpires need to sort out their own style- I even wonder whether umpires are required to umpire per the AFL rule?? Some AFL rules are enforced some do not apply- who makes that decision and do they have to umpire AFL style??
Umps should help forwards more!!!
