Angaston won't come within a bull's roar of Barossa!!

But nice stir Hafey.

Well , Well , Well .... hate to say i told you so .

My mail is the past 2 premierships has bled the bank dry which has led to a incompetent coach having to be appointed , its the old case of ' you pay peanuts , you get monkeys '

There are players that are yet to be paid from last year and there could be a exodus from there imports before too long if these financial matters aren't taken care of soon.

Wasn't it a draw because Barossa kicked 12 goals and 24 points againt Angaston's 13 goals 12. Perhaps innaccurate kicking is to blame Hafey, or are the imports refusing to kick straight until finances are taken care of? I think you must be paying your mailman in peanuts because the mail you are getting is from monkeys.

Shrek your lack of football smarts has bitten on the backside with this comment .

Poor kicking is poor football and the pressure Angaston were able to provide on the BD ball carriers was enough to reduce there " effective " inside 50's and shots on goal .

What was also notable was the lack of dicipline and direction from a novice coach who's credentials are over 300 games ( as goal umpire or runner ) in the BL&G .

Must admit i thought it was joke when i heard that Angaston drew with BD.

Hafey, did you see the game? Has Angaston improved out of sight or has BD come back to the pack?

Angaston and Barossa drew! Unreal... Could be an even competition this year.
Tanunda looks to be the top competitor. Is there any1 that will be able to challenge them?

So apart from the unbelievable draw all the other games went as expected... on to round 2.

Nuriootpa V Angaston (Anzac Day)
Barossa V South Gawler (Lyndoch)
Centrals V Freeling
Kapunda V Tanunda

Nuri and angaston looks like it could be a cracker of a game.. would expect Tanunda to easily account for Kapunda, Freeling to beat Central - around 5 goals and South to sneak home against Barossa to leave the Barossa faithful wondering what is going on...!!

Nuri V Angaston will be a great game. The only thing is can the young players for Angaston be able to keep up the pressure?

My picks for this week.
Nuriootpa vs Angaston
Barossa District vs South Gawler
Gawler Central vs Freeling
Kapunda vs Tanunda

Barossa V South will be a good game heard good thing about South this year. Will be good to see South's new tops.

Ango's midfield has been boosted by the return of Andrew Pech holden and if their youngsters can put pressure on the physical game that the bulldogs play i dont think they'll have too much trouble with Nuri.

Hafey looks like you have nothing better to do but shit stir
your comments regarding the bank being dry etc are way off the mark and to claim the new coach is incompentent after one game is pretty brave of you. If there was a exodus of imports then only 4 guys would leave (BD import alloaction =4) and what lack of dicipline did the coach display??? enlighten us please self proclaimed guru

I have a feeling that South Gawler may be licking their lips at the prosect of facing Barossa, givent the weekends result. However I would severely caution anyone from under estimating Angaston this year... they have basically replaced their midfield with a suite of guns - Pech, Harvey and Danielli - and obviously it allows the on-ball brigade of last year to strenghten up their line up around the ground...

Edgar you have changed your tune from this quote"Angaston will be belted this week by the Bulldogs."
Who has under estimated them?

Looks like Gawler Centrals are in for a long year. Bad move getting Brant in. He never did any good at his previous clubs. Maybe they should have asked around a bit to see what he was like.

I think everyone would have thought the same... the panthers have sparked a bit of interest in themselves after last saturdays results, can they continue on with it though? no point being ultra competitve one week and lose it all the next...

I also think south would be quietly confident heading into to saturdays game. They always seem to alright agaisnt the Bullpups...

Dogmatic, well picked up. It may have been a case of overestimating Barossa however in lieu of underestimating the Panthers. Notwithstanding all of that, the humble pie doesn't taste that nice...

Texas, I noted on the North Eastern FL forum you have stated that there is a new skipper at the helm of the lions. What happened to Andrew Bevis? And what is this Ron Lee character about? Is he a good leader? Will he make a marked difference to the club?

You would think that Andrew Bevis would be a bit dirty? He is a great bloke and I can't really see him being all that happy with the lack of faith shown in him?

I've seen a little bit of Ronnie Lee play footy Edgar, not sure about his leadership abilities but loves the club and a known party boy too... May have to curb his wild ways given he's the new skipper.

I wonder what Andrew Bevis did...
I can't see Ronnie Lee being South Gawler's next premiership captain... Loves a drink that boy
