Wasn't either of the blokes mentioned, and I dare say this story has been pumped a little bit through the various re-telling that is sure to have occurred over the last couple of days.

I'm guessing a Paringa or Lyrup player but was it a Paringa player who used to play for Lyrup or a Lyrup player who used to play for Paringa????.

His team was beaten, so I would be guessing the latter.

Would've been interesting if it was the bloke I suggested. Because I don't ever recall him shirking an issue. He would've loved being a target I reckon.

It was a Lyrup player who has never played for Paringa, thank god. But he has played for 2 other teams.

Who cares anyway. If Renmark are going to use an incident like that as motivation, it could be a long year. I would have thought being 0-3 would be motivation enough to try and get a win on the board???

Exactly no one should care, just livening up the place a little. Renmark just need to get out there and play good footy.

Does anyone know the teams for the Nth v Sth of the River, and the B grade v Independents? or when do they come out?

CN, do you know how they pick these teams....? There is a few I'm very suprised about and some picked in the B's have not even played a game or only 1 game at the most? Do you know who the coaches are??

CN. Whats the penalty for not playing in this game? A lot of blokes will want the week off and couldn't be bothered playing in an exhibition game that means nothing. How many will be injured so to speak and not make themsleves available (waikerie players especially). How could Renmark have so many when they haven't looked like winning a game? Todd Rivers in the B grade side - good luck, Renmark cant even get him to play on Saturday due to work little lone a game that doesn't count. This whole thing could turn into a joke I reckon.

I'm not sure if they could suspend players for not playing. After all it's not an interleague match.
From the sounds of it though, the concept has been well supported by most clubs.
But there are some odd selections in there.

These things are always a joke. I'm not going to get into "who's better then who" in the A's. But to pick people in the B's who have not even played a game yet. Even picking Brett Kennedy (who would be worthy) but has only played half a game of footy this year...
