As much as this upcoming grand final clash shows the dominance of the 2 MB clubs since the points system came in, it will still nonetheless be interesting to see the outcome of the first grand final clash between these 2 clubs in 24 years. I'd like to see a Ramblers win but I'll predict an Imps flag by 20 points due to week off and slightly better form.

Biffboy you are a pelican i watched the game out at mannum also and the chickens were not allowed to play there style of footy after half time. When they got it they were tackled hard having ball smothered. And with your two best midfielders only willing to run one way when it suits them and look like they are going to get a easy kick could cost them.

BiffBoy you talk more crap than myself after too many Port and Cokes.

24 Years we have waited to see the 2 Bridge clubs clash in a Grand Final.
Weather is to be 24 degrees and a fine day for 4 close contests

League- Imperials v Ramblers - This will be one of the best games of country football ever! These to teams have been miles ahead of everyone when they are switched on. we have seen both sides play poor football at times but they will be ready to show us there best on Saturday and i am going a draw at end of 4 Qtrs and Imperials to pull away winners in extra time due to injured/battered/warn out Ramblers. Imperials by 9 points after TIME ON.

Reserves- Imperials v Mypolonga - Mypolonga are a real chance here with upsetting a few teams on there way through and done it in real underdog style, they played each other last round of the year and a depleted Imperial side got over the line by 2 goals. The Imperial side has miles more experiance/run/skills/gameplan but anything can happen on Grand Final day but i am not expecting this to be an upset Imperials by 10 goals with a Reserves team better than most country A grade teams.

Under 17s- Imperials v Ramblers - Ramblers are in the seat to cause one of the biggest upsets ever in junior football, Imperials Undefeated but have run into some sore players in recent weeks and has shown on the scoreboard, This weekend after a week off and likely to have players back in from A grade Imperials will roll Ramblers by 7 Goals in one of the most skillful performances in junior football.

Under 15s- Imperials v Mypolonga - Imperials have a full squad which has been hard to find for them all year with a Wright boys playing basketball and just with these 2 handy inclusions i can see Imperials beating Mypolonga easily by 7 goals.

Yes that is right Imperials to make it 4/4 and in my short 30 year life in RMFL i cannot remember this ever happening, it would be great to get Harold McLaren on here he would know.

It would be a very competitive team against the likes of Peake and others in Mallee League with players like Simon Tyler, Jarred Newton, Trent Wingard, Ryan Edwards, Daniel Matthews, Craig Caire, Tom Puattii all but maybe 1 of these players would slip into most A grade teams and then there are another 10 who have played a bit if A grade and Only 20-24yrs old

Possibly competitive against a few Mallee clubs, but thats different to "with a Reserves team better than most country A grade teams".

There's no team in the Great Southern, Hills Central, Barossa, that the Imps Reserves side would get within 20 goals of. There may be some bottom teams around the state they may be competitive against, but most top teams in decent leagues would thrash them.

They would beat the bottom 2 in the Hills Country League, but they certainly wouldn't beat most country football League sides.

So, are any players in doubt/already ruled out for the grand final this week?

Ramblers have had an injury cloud over a few players lately.

..talking of unavailable players, i recall a post from someone about Brett White from Jervois being in doubt for last week's game. I read in the Standard that was due to a wedding. If true, interesting having a recruit not available for the second most important game of the season.

Brett White has his beat mates wedding I Think. Tough one but I suppose the wedding has been planned for a while. Even if he played the result would not have changed.

Port and Coke is drink of choice of many but my old self I have it to keep warm not get drunk

And yes I did say Mypo are a chance with how they have been playing but I think Imperials reserves players have way to much experience and will blow it out by 5 goals in first qtr

Would doubt that, have seen quite a few games in both leagues in the last three seasons, including Imps 2 s this year. Mallee League greatly improved this year, I think you would find even Pinnaroo with their tall goal to goal line and experienced on balllers would account for Imps Reserves and they didnt win an A grade game this year. Having said that the RMFL reserves comp is certainly of a high standard.

Yeah I had my doubts in saying that, hence the "possibly", it would have to be a very weak Mallee League side that Imps B Grade may be competitive with.

Footywiz, your'e a bright one!Have a crack at me end then that dribble comes out your mouth? Brilliant work mate!!!

Mypo will push Imps in the ressies with there athletic talls but Imps deserve to go in as favourites. If they do drop a couple kids from the a's, they will go back to under 17's which could see them lose 1 or 2 and gain nothing. Also, they do seem to struggle a bit out at Meninge but that is also when playing a home side. Imps by under 10 points for me

A's I wont comment, its obvious i'm a Rambler man

17's Imps should win. We have struggled against them this year however last game out was close so I wont be surprised if we cause an upset. Imps by 10-20

15's I am going to say Mypo just because I just cant keep picking imps. Mypo by a point

FootyWiz81 you seem to talk Imps up all the time. What grade do you play. I just see you posted Imps B grade has a Game plan. Mypo may be a bit tougher for you guys on the weekend.

My predictions

Under 15's - Imps just.... Mypo have been very undisciplined in the last two finals, and were lucky to win last week.... If it is going to be as windy as predicted you never know with under 15's as they don't have the strength in body or their kicks to work the ball very well into the wind, so it could come down to who makes the most of the wind....

Under 17's - Imps should win comfortably but you never know with this age group - sometimes they have other things on their minds and it can get hard to get through them at times.... If Dwayne Wilson lines up here instead of A grade its game over...

B Grade - Can't see Mypo even getting close....

A Grade - should be one of the best games of the year.... Both sides will be desperate and will want to win in front of a big crowd... Might come down to who settles first, although if it is going to be very warm, the younger and fitter Imps should run all over the top of Ramblers if its close late in the second half, as they did at Mannum when some of the Ramblers players seemed to give up in the last quarter when it got too hard.... Can not wait for it!!!!

Don't play anymore my time came a few years ago to give it up the body couldn't handle it but I have still got close ties with players in all grades (exept 15s) so I know what's going on, and I you will see Imps will go in favourites in all grades so shouldn't matter if I'm from Imps or Tailem I would be picking the best team.

on the mannum rumour mill, hall and kennedy are firming as next years joint coaches, and ben quinn is looking as though he will leave as long as he can secrue a playing/coaching role elsewhere. a couple of other players are weighing up their options including best under 21 defender o'malley, and jarrad woodward.
