I'll second that Swampie. The changerooms are tiny and there's not a dry spot in sight once 3 grades have been through the showers. The good thing is the showers get plenty of disinfecting from blokes having nowhere else to piss before games!

Does the club have an upgrade on the agenda Rooster? Might be hard to raise funds, but Virginia managed it a few years back and now their changerooms are very good.

They are terrible i also agree. The only positive is it makes you just that little more excited about getting out and playing. Unfortunately for the Hummocks, the playing surfaces at both Lochiel and Wakey are substandard, especially compared to the likes of mallala, longies and balak hence the chances of holding finals and ultimately a grand final are reduced. The longer this drought goes on the worse it is going to get and i can forsee in the near future our games being limited to certain ovals even in the home and away series.
I here a whisper some cricket ovals in mildura which obviously is right on the river may be shut down this summer due to water restrictions. I hope that doesnt happen here but when you get 28 degrees 2 days to go in winter it doesnt look good.
And getting away from footy you then get morons on the news complaining about how time consuming it is watering their gardens with a bucket. Are these people really that removed from society they do not no what the reality of the situation is. know i'm on my high horse but we are in a drought and people in leafy suburbs complain that their $250,000 gardens are going to waste due to having to water with a bucket. My tip, dont water you geese!

Yeah, facilities aren't great, you got me.

it's something that the club is working on i can assure you and the other patrons of this site, a bit of a stretch saying it's the worst, surely hamley's visitors is worse, ours is shabby but there's is tiny and shabby.

once your out on the paddock though it's all smiles surely swampie :D there are worse ovals for a final venue. and fair to say we would have liked to be playing there that day!
Sorry people I only deal in facts!

What do you base that on :? :? . Obviously a guard rail on that fence your sitting on agreed, unless your d jarman, offering coaching advice on kickin in is prob not your caper anyway. We all have bad days, and lets hope sat sees the prelim sent into double time whilst it absolutely pisses down. :)

well done swampy and your beloved pies. Saw in the paper the cream rose to the top again. Hollit 4 goals. Was that from the middle?
Never thought i would ever say this but almost felt sorry for balak in the a grade. It looked like men playing boys. It was good for the eages to be able to rest a few in the second half to freshen up for this week.
Shame about our magoos. 6 points his hard to swallow but had our chances. Poor old wedgie here missed a goal from 2 metres out in dying moments. Never been a goal kicker :(

Hey Wedgie. What were the scores in the As and Bs on Sunday?
The Eagles Bs must have played alright to get near Balak, or was Balak not as good as they think they are?

Must say, Mallala were very impressive. They were able to absorb the pressure of a late finals charge and a close win would be better for their confidence over a big win I think. Just shows they can hold it together when challenged. United will have to play out of their skins to beat Hummocks this week.

Yeah i hear the eagles were a bit unlucky in the magoos Wedgie :( Bad luck
Its a real shame to see a 1st semi blow out like that, particularly when a side such as TW misses out on a chance to play. I think the eagles will get up this week too. They seem a far better drilled side than united and if the eagles can hold willy and schubby the job is done. Take these two blokes out of the game on Sat and it wouldnt have been pretty.
Hollitt played an absoute blinder, best i have seen him play. Played up forward in the main with spurts in the middle. Very classy footballer.
Im interested in Agreeed's view on why a similar performance would not be compeitive on the 15th! :? Obviously a man of few words, which is prob a good thing

Yep. Fair blowout!

Good to see Luke Evans was Balak BOG again, even with sore ribs. He's a quality player and is surely Balak's best chance for Association best.

Holding Schubie is easier said than done Swampie. One big unit!!

Yeah i heard barnsey suffered severe leather intoxication. Ive still got wip lash from that hit mate, good thing i saw him at the last minute or id be still climbing out of the pine trees behind the goals.
If United dont test reidy there something wrong, not sure who actuallu would from united though, opitz's cheap shots wont do much damage as usual. Good thing he can fish, loved the monster mully in sa angler! Nah kidding, trav was good in the first half sat.
