Junior Medal count tonight I believe.

Anyone got any predictions?

I'm guessing a lot of the Imps/Ramblers lads may take votes off team mates, whilst the bottom clubs may not have won enough games to have many players poll very well, so perhaps the medallist could come from a mid range club.

I'm with you GWW, it may just come from the middle clubs.... Having said that it may also mean the count will be lower and close so anyone who has played 4 or 5 stand out games could win it.....

I saw a cracking game between Imps And Ramblers and since then Ramblers have lost Barras and Imps have added Harrowfield and Tyler and it was also the first game back for Seyers and Hodge that day. If Ramblers dont beat Imps who will??

Ramblers still, but they wont have it all their own way. Imps are a strong outfit also but form would indicate Ramblers. It will be quality either way

I wouldn't mind betting the winner out of the Jervois/tailem game makes the prelim' final!!

Jervois could even make the Grandfinal if things fall there way. There best 6 is as good as any in the comp & there bottom six are not any worse than Ramblers or Imps. Its just hard winning from the position they are in

yes i agree, alot depends on tailem and jervois X factors but both teams have players that can win a game in short period bursts. Tailems Indigenous players are hard to stop when they get up and about, they all run for one another.

How much of a waste will it be if Mannum go out in straight sets given how much money they have spent in the last 3 or so years. In saying that though, making 2 grand finals is an achievement in itself, although I'm sure not what they were looking for.

Their juniors aren't overly strong at the moment, so with the points system, they could go back to the pack somewhat if they're not careful. They will certainly want to hang onto at least a few of their guns such as Hall, Mueller, Kennedy, Gerardis, but with talk of overseas travel, and players moving on, it won't be easy.

Yes, he also won a junior colts medal a couple of years ago. No disrespect to his older brothers but he is a quality midfielder who will develop into an excellent senior footballer. Played 5 A grade games this year so won the medal even though he played only 11 games.

If he can move like his mum does on a dance floor no wonder he won the medal!

Saturdays Games in Seniors-
League
Imperials v Mannum - Last time they Mannum were a few players short and also there 2nd week with new coach, they will be alot stronger on Saturday but Imperials have hit some great form at the right time with Simon Tyler, Justin Trewen, Ben Quast all to come back in this week and they will run away winners 35-45 points.

Reserves
Jervois v Imperials - both teams sitting at 1 win against each other but last time they played Imps were the outstanding team winning by 60+ points and the same will happen this weekend. Imps 50-60

Well I am tipping tailem to win in what should be a block buster of a game. Think they should get over the line, with the week off, their key players will be fresh and ready to fire. Tippig nick wark to dominate this wk, hasn't been any where near his best in the last month so I expect him to fire. Josh coulter the key for jervois, has the ability to play forward or midfield which makes him dangerous and hard to match up on. If the eagles can shut him
Down, it will go along way to determining the outcome of the game. Eagles by 11-20

If true, they surely would have to be worried about next week.

Pretty positive without those two that they wont win against Imps at full flight and then would have to be seriously worried about the week to follow. There two most important players not playing for a decent period of time around and into the finals does not look good for the old roo boys.

yep they are big outs and don't be suprised if kennedy plays no more part this year as he may have retwinged his calf problem at training last night so that is a big worry.

Spirits however were pretty high and after chatting with quinny last night expect a very fired up roos team, they really need to come out firing this week.

All the favourites won at Jervois today. Imperials in A and B grade, Ramblers in U/17 and Mypo in U/15. The margin in the A grade was only 26 points. Mannum made it a tough hard slog and Imperials were not really safe until midway through the last quarter. Imperials will need a much better mental attitude next week against Ramblers but the big Mannum oval will suit Imperials better. Everyone has written off Mannum but if they continue to get players back they will be very hard to beat next Sunday.
