Still playing.... can't see it likely to affect his footy.... and for that reason is a pretty stupid thing to even be brought up on this forum whether implied or not...... Very mature of youknowit.....

Physically wont affect his footy but you never know where his mind could be after this one, could slow him down a bit or he could turn around and absolutely rip the bag

The talk about a non-related football rumor will stop here, there should be better things to talk about than taking something to far and sharing with the public!

Well said Footywiz. As far as Seyers goes, he has been a little rusty but if he remains injury free he could well be the piece in the puzzle that tips flag favouritism Imperials way. Easily the best tall defender in the competition when at his best.

Big Fulla would be interested as to you have as favourite. I saw a cracking game between Imps And Ramblers and since then Ramblers have lost Barras and Imps have added Harrowfield and Tyler and it was also the first game back for Seyers and Hodge that day. If Ramblers dont beat Imps who will??

Definitely sounds like an Imps v Ramblers grand final is a big chance, if it happens, will be first time since 1987 I think. Mannum will need Kennedy and some others back to be any chance, whilst the clubs likely to finish 4th and 5th have some wildcards who if they fire on their day could see their club do some damage.

I think it will come down to injuries ove the course of the next month, and I also think it could come down to which team on grand final day is most suited to the venue ie. Meningie Oval.

If there's a bit of rain during September that will also add another variable, and we could even see some upsets happen.

I tipped a Ramblers premiership at the start of the season and I'll stick with that selection.

Was a ripper game wasnt it? Yeah you picked up those guys and yes, Barras is gone but remember it was also Jacko's first game for 6 weeks last week which stops Wait running loose all day as he will have to be accountable.
I am a Rambler through and through but honestly dont think at this stage they are obvious favs. The thing we have got going for us is that when we make grand finals we tend to win them and if we come up against the old bridesmaids this year we would like our chances, no matter who is playing.
It's going to be a pity if the two biggest sides have to line up in a GF at the most distant venue in the league. Would have smashed all records if played in MB or even Mypo

Fair is fair, we all come up there for GF's with No complaints.

I should think whoever makes a GF would be just more than happy to be playing in a GF and not worrying about it's location.

Plus Meningie oval has been in tip top shape all year.

Sportsbet odds for the RMFL premiership

Ramblers 12/10
Imperials 18/10
Mannum 8/1
Jervois 20/1
Tailem 50/1

Having the week off gives Ramblers a huge advantage. Injury free Imperials will give the chooks a real hurry up. Mannum should not be taken lightly if they can get their best team on the park. Jervois and Tailem have had great years but getting to the grand final let alone winning it has been virtually impossible. Can anyone remember the last time someone won the flag from 4th or 5th??

Krollig played A's for Mannum and got in their best - how old is he? I remember him playing at Perponda, matter of fact I played with him there. 38 or 39 I reckon.

Mannum need a fit Hall and Kennedy to be any chance at all, I would like to see them go deep into finals but I can't see it happening.

Jervois are the wildcard, as they have 5 or 6 real quality players, but they don't have the depth of the 2 MB sides. Coming from the Elimination is definitely tough, and I can't recall any clubs at least in the last 25 years making a GF after finishing 4th or 5th after the minor round. I recall Tailem playing in the Elimination in both 93 and 94 and winning 2 finals, but then losing to Imps both years.

Mypolonga did make the Grand Final in 2008 from 4th or 5th but got beaten by Ramblers. Might have to ask the great Harold McLaren to do some research and find the last premiership team that did in fact come from one of these positions.
