It's really hard to say. I mean how can 5 or 6 players make that much difference to a score. It may have been a bit closer but if Willunga played that way, I would have to say they would still get the points.

big call panther. creeks been travelling wonderfully well.
willunga had 4 first choice players out aswell, but theres a bit of depth around at the moment and covered the losses maybe a little better than encounter bay could. also encounter bay just werent big enough for willungas tall forwards.

Tall Forwards...Tall ruckmen...tall onballers...tall backmen!!! They have at least 6 blokes who are about 6'2 and taller!

BJ Ernest.. Willunga supporters would be excited about the return of Portlock and Thompson to their lineup. Do we know what inspired Thommo to make a comeback? What happened at South Adelaide to make Portlock want to come back to the Demons?

Come on Limb, Why do you think Portlock come back from South?
Pretty obvious to me.
South are LOSERS. (Bust your guts and lose every week)
Willunga are WINNERS ( Take it easy and win just about every week)

And probably gets Paid as Much if not More!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Premiership

L.Creek $1.60
Willunga $2.25
Mt.Comp $10.00
Others No Hope

came back to play with mates and see out the year. not enjoying it at south.
not sure hes getting paid all that much to be honest.
thompson was quietish saturday, but will improve as his touch returns, he was just keen again after seeing the first half of the year and wanted to play again.
strath supposedly very impressive saturday and must be rated a chance to win flag. even tho creeks have flogged em both times.

Yeah i was thinking as well that Strath are the 4th club with a chance at the flag. I remember when they won their last flag about 4 or 5 years ago they were quite large underdogs (may have even come from the elimination final?)

I think if its a L Creek v Willunga GF it will still be a 50/50 game, despite the Creeks awesome form this year.

I'm pretty sure Yank will finish bottom this year. They lost their coach half way into the season and was replaced by a guy (previous coach i think) with the name of Lewis (not sure of first name). He recruited his son Ryan, who won a Reserves Magarey medal a few years back. Someone said on here they may have a few other ex SANFL/Norwood players but i dont know about their details.

where im from, thats called Big Fish, Small Pond Syndrome.

I think that your missing the point! Blokes like to play with their mates. Not at a club that really isn't going anywhere.

Portlock wouldn't be on much at all, told the club he was going to south and to try and find a replacment. Got there, played leauge and didn't enjoy it. Simple.

The reason Willunga have been successful is that they play for each other. Yeah they get paid but not there reason to be there.
