Kapunda by 2 goals - at home, wet conditions and barossa with half a team, kapunda should be favourites here.

GC by 4 points - shes gona b a close one at the nuri oval but even though charlie wont line up in the 17s GC will just get up. pinch to bag 5 or 6.

South by 4 goals - I think south will be able to get through in this one. has the potential to be match of the season.

Tanunda by 6 goals - with agars in the lineup, the magpies will account for the panthers who have limited players due to a grade duties.

Tanunda vs Angaston...................Ango will get this one. Half way through the season and it's a battle for the wooden spoon.

Nuriootpa vs Gawler Central...........GC will just get over Nuri, Nuri will bounce back but this one will be close.

Freeling vs South Gawler.........South will just get this one. Freeling having trouble getting 4 quarters together and they now South can play the game, Freeling will be worried about this one.

Kapunda vs Barossa District ....Barossa to win, could be a close one... maybe be the same as last time who knows...

Tanunda vs Angaston...................just thought id go for a roughy...

Nuriootpa vs Gawler Central...........GC should pick a full outfit and show this competition why they are undefeated and that they aren't slipping...

Freeling vs South Gawler.........South have found their mark this year... they are the only ones that will really push GC in this second round... IMO... Freeling will get a very big wake up call this week...

Who for Barossa are out?
And any particular reason Charli isn't playing? A's? Injured?

Massive weekend for under 17's football!
Virtually every game was an upset to some degree!
Kapunda made Barossa look very, very ordinary for three quarters in the upset of the year.
IMO Barossa are gawn! Liam Smith has apparently deserted the team and Jack Madgen has supposedly committed himself to seniors for the rest of the year (probably not the best decision after seeing his game in the A's Saturday). On top of that Brent O'Driscoll is out with injury. GAWN!!!

South are now my favourites for the flag. Cannot wait till the round three GC vs SG matchup.
I would say now that the final four is completely set in stone.

shame barossa couldn't have been gawn last week that 2 points would of been handy for the donnybrooks. willaston still a dark horse if they can beat nuri and freeling in the second round.

Lets start with The Nuri - GC game. From what the word is that GC had a number of players out last week, 1 went the A's, 2-3 up to the B's and some players played with an injury. Not to say that Nuri didn't play a good game but could that of been the difference.

South over Freeling. Everyone knew that South was going to be a strong team in the second part of the season (but not this strong). Freeling would be thinking what the hell happened.

Kapunda over Barossa. I don't think anyone knew that was going to happen. With Barossa having a number of very good players out and Jack Madgen saying no thanks to his team mates, put a big hole in the Barossa team. I do think that Kapunda come out with a win in their eyes and they didn't let it go. Looks like Kapunda will have a better second part of the season.

What I think the final 4 may be:

1st - GC
2nd - South
3rd - Nuri
4th spot - Freeling, Barossa & Willaston.
If I see it I say it.

Barossa and Willaston have absolute must win games this weekend against Tanunda and Kapunda respectively. I think Kapunda are a real chance in this one. Barossa are no certainty to knock off Tanunda either. Freeling up against GC means they're a fair chance to lose their third straight which (if Barossa win) would see them out of the top four! What a capitulation that would be!

GC aren't travelling that flash at the moment and with a lot of their better players either being injured or required in higher grades i wouldn't count Freeling just yet...

Playing the bottom sides can bring out the worst in teams. The cream will rise to the top Saturday.

SA's state U16 team played their first game in Sydney today.
With Steve Rusca named best player and kicked one goal.
And Joshua Waldhuter being 2nd best.
They beat WA 11.12.78 - 11.11.77.
With WA kicking 7 goals in the final term.

I take my hat of to Willaston, They have showen that they are getting better each week. It's good to be half right than a whole wrong.

I was spot on when it came to GC & Freeling. At the start of the season Freeling looked like they would be a very hard to beat team. Not looking to good for them at this stage. I still think they have the team to get in the 4, but do they?

Barossa came back from a very bad game last week to show what they can do. I was told that Jack Madgen was glad to play 17's and I will be apart of the team till the end.

Nuri is looking to be back to back winners this year. They show that when you play a leaser team that they will not drop to their level.
If I see it I say it.

I ventured down to the dog track to watch the Freeling boys take on the GC boys and to tell you the truth i was pretty disappointed... i went there expecting to see a great, close match... and i definitely thought it would be closer with the GC tigers not having a full side... the GC boys showed in the first quarter that they were there to play and definitely shocked the freeling boys... IMO freeling have lost the plot... the tigers kicked a few goals in a row and all that could be heard from the ground was the freeling boys yelling and at a loss of what to do...

Rhys Oxenham played an absolute blinder and kept Adam Schimdt to zero goals...
Max Doherty played a very gwd game...
Cameron Williams had a very gwd first half...
Caleb Edmead kept his head over the ball all day... went off towards the end with an ankle...
Travis Barnes took some very gwd marks but didn't have much support...
Cooper Pinch also did alright with a bag of 5...

They're sitting out of the four now so they'd better pull it together if they want to play finals footy!

Tips for this week everyone?

Willaston v Tanunda - Should be a formality.
Nuri v BD - Nuri will destroy the Dogs I reckon. BD might be done for the season IMO.
Freeling v Ango - Freo need this one.
SG v GC - South are my favourites for the flag. Have decimated Nuri and Freeling in recent weeks.

On the money there Dizz. I reckon Nuri will carve the doggies up for dinner. The tigers will definitely have a say about who plays on GF day and IMO it will not be 2 Gawler sides.

Really?! Who are your tips for the GF Ruben? Hard to pick out of Nuri, GC & SG but I'm liking a South v Nuri GF. But, then again, can we honestly count out GC???
