he tends to change clubs every year, so yeah your probably right. Gaza, Birdwood, Kangarilla now Angaston. no doubt a new club is on the cards for him next year... if you got the $.

Thats no disrespect to the other nine teams in the Country league.

I agree with you. They have a solid foundation for a Central team but how many of them would hang around if they did go up? You can bet your bottom dollar that if Kangy had to/tried to go to Central Division, they'd have a worse team than what they have now. We saw what happened when they were forced to mix it with the Happy Valleys, Brightons and Reynellas of the world.

Daniele was cleared played one game for Angaston and then broke his leg in an "off field" incident"

Kangarilla initially wanted to go to central division but were not allowed to due to the lack of juniors, they are working very hard to get their juniors competitive so this can be achieved. For people to say Kangarilla just want to be a big fish in a small pond, why did they leave the hills league and enter the southern league which is a far superior league? The only reason they came back was because they could not compete with the big clubs there and the club was struggling for numbers, the club could of folded do to lack of numbers.

The money the players are on is not much, I think its something like 30 bucks a win each, which was always been the case. Best player may get $150 and I believe there is also a player 321 voting system after the game where they get a dollar or vote or something. So basically if you have a standout game you will get some coin, but its nothing over the top.

Hear what you're saying but remember that there were two divisions in the Southern League at the time and the second tier was by no means much better than Hills Div 2.

fair point, they also won a premiership there too  , when it went to one division, they competed pretty well but in the end, being a small country town playing in a metro league took its toll. Kangarilla is a country club, I think they will go up once they get their juniors up and running. Their senior colts get flogged week in and week out but the club wants to persevere with them so they can go up.

Why dont Kersbrook have any juniors? No intention of trying to make the effort in going up?

For mine Meadows seem like the logical choice to go up, strong across the board, particulary juniors.

He didn't hit an umpire - he made contact with an umpire. I'm guessing it may have been thrown out because no one could prove that it was intentional.

Do you think if you make unintentional contact with an umpire you should get banned for a year and a half? I don't.

The report was for negligent contact, not intentional. Understand TV reckon TM might have got the Black eye out and about on a Saturday night!?!? WTF???

Sounds like there will be severe ramifications over this between the HFL and the SANFL.

The penny has just dropped with me boys, Michael Danielle was the player the barossa thread was talking about. He broke his ankle on sunday I believe at the pub with the angaston boys when a fight broke out between them and the willaston players, original reports were it was the gawler central lads. Hope they didnt give him a sign on fee.... LOL poor bastard.

So what happens next year then? If the rumours about Blackwood going to SFL are true then does the HFL "force" a country team to fill the gap? and if so then who do you think will come up? Meadows have already voted in favour of staying in country..... All seems a bit ominous to me.
