I can't remember the system but it is very fair and reasonable, if they perform they get rewarded from the best player to the worst but they all do get rewarded. The club doesn't hide this from anyone , it is a fair way to do it and it is obviously working - good luck to them.

Have also heard on good authority that their players get X amount of dollars per win, and they think that every other Club in Country Div are doing the same. Maybe TV do, but that would be it. Plus they have contract players as well e.g. Gutinik, Raidis and Danielle last year. Their playing list has turned around 360 degrees from their days at Southern League, and with having no juniors for the past couple of years I'd suggest they've recruited better than most Central Clubs. Perhaps they need a stint amongst the big boys, or could be sent back with Blackwood to the Southern League. They wouldn't be missed.

Know that the appeal over the length of the suspension was being held at the SANFL tribunal last night. Unaware of the outcome, but will post when I have ear of it.

Kangarilla are a smart club to reward there players for winning, im surprised your club doesnt. IB has been doing it for a while and it seems to be working very well, especially for the rookies that dont earn much

Has Kangarilla shown any indication of changing div? Or is this just coming after last weeks result cougar?...

Have heard the SANFL have overturned the suspension of Battams. All of it!!

Banker, u should know how much the Kersbrook blokes get.....SFA. If that needs verification speak to Ron Axford. He'd have a good idea.

Don't reckon Kangarilla will wanna go up, as that will cut out the players match winning payments in half. They wouldn't want that, would they?? If Country Div clubs are forking out that much dough, they should have a crack at Central Div. TV are the exception, as Gary is keeping that club alive and it's not if Kangarilla are lacking any depth player wise...they have plenty!

Dont Kangarilla sign all there imports to 2 year deals to keep em at the club? I know there coach and he has mentioned that players are well rewarded.
I'd say its also the fact that when clubs are doing well people want to be involved so they might find it a little easier than some to recruit players to the area - the fact that most have ties to the club could mean that players find an excuse to get onboard a winning unit after hearing good things. 'If you build they will come'

What was the guys name who has stood out of footy after kangarilla wouldnt clear him this year?

Im sure the James boys are profesisonal enough to overlook being bagged but lets be honest, they are acutally human and it very much takes it toll. They are no longer professional and are not playing at big stadiums so they'd hear just about every word, some supporters should probably stick to supporting more than bagging as its high calibre players like these guys that lift the profile of a competition.

Footy Mad.

Those contracts that Kangarilla draft up are not worth the paper they are written on. Trust me.

The clearance can be refused in the same year as the club can say they are a required player. If they say they are not financial the proposed club can cover the debt which will only be their subs.

Wasn't there in fact an issue in the past off season with Danielle supposedly having signed last year to play last year and this year, yet he managed to only have to play last year.

if battams gets off its a joke of the whole system, if i was umpiring and someone ran through him and hurt him i would not send the guy off but i would shake his hand.

Not sure what our u14 coach has to do with this but anyway, I think your looking at it differently to me

I believe:
A succesful A Grade = More Crowds (aka higher gate takings) = More people stay back for drink at the club (aka more bar/meal takings)

Agree?

So you can see why i was surprised that Kerbrook are not rewarding there players for winning :)

On Battams, does that mean he can play this weekend?

Banker most 'in the know' Hills followers know what Kersbrook fork out $$$$ wise. Ron has been around a fair while now, and knows a bit about Hills Footy. Thought u would have known. Winning games of footy doesn't always generate bigger crowds as we've found out this season.

As far as I understand Battams is available this week!!

Do you know why Danielle was not cleared to Angaston this year? After speaking with Kangys coach he mentioned that he'd sigend to a two year contract and that had to be seen out, he also said that he was obviously a required player. In my experience that doesnt mean much and players are cleared but on this occasion the kid has had to sit the season out and do the running for Angaston until next year when he will be automatically cleared. He should've just played for kangy then pissed off in 08!

Danielle was cleared to Angaston but after about 3 hearings by the SANFL.
I believe he then played one game for angaston and then broke his ankle and will be out for the year. Karma??
He definitely didn't want to stay at Kangarilla even thopugh he was on pretty good money there - he just didn't enjoy being there.

Danielle was cleared to Angaston. As long as it is before June 30 it can happen.

Stringer delayed it to piss the kid off. Now he is never going to want to go back their.

Like him or hate him Stringer does seem to know what he is doing or atleast he knows how to put a competitive team together. I think most country teams are pretty happy Danielle isnt part of the Kangy team they dont need him.

Mate I have played under him and his brother. He is a terrible communicator. He tries to intimidate players. Kangi's have just bought a good team. If they were any good they would go to the Central laegue and play better teams instead of beating Callington and Gumeracha.

Thats no disrespect to the other nine teams in the Country league.

How come the SANFL has cleared the guy, believe the appeal was about the severity of the penalty handed down by HFL tribunal, not the finding   . Battams in fact pleaded guilty to having made contact with T. Mac if I'm not wrong! So now he's exonerated ... WTF!!! This has opened a huge can of worms ... do we now have no faith in HFL tribunal ... and in turn HFL board who appoint them? And what of umpires .. suggest they'd be a bit dark on the issue as well. Reckon we ain't heard the last of this ... maybe an appeal by the HFL against the appeal decision ...talk about Law and Order!!!!
