this weeks matches

CENTRAL: August 4th-Round 15
Blackwood v Mt Barker
Hahndorf v Onka Valley
Ironbank v Uraidla Dist
Lobethal v Mt Lofty
Bridgewater v Birdwood

Blackwood in a very tight one.
Onkas by 9 goals
Uraidla by 6 goals
Mt Lofty by 13 goals...just not quite gelling enough for another 25 goal win.
Bridgewater to snuff out Birdwood's last chance at a debut-season win.
Chuck Norris makes onions cry

Any interesting ins and outs from anyone?
Brett James dropped his Brother in Law Adam Groverman to the Twos for the big clash against Kangarilla. No favours for this big game!

Regarding Battams: Any sentence handed out over 10 matchs by any country or amateur tribunal, can be appealed to the SANFL. TV have exercised that right. I don't know how the appeal went.

This weekend.
Going Barker in a tight one to upset Blackwood and get a bit of a march on for the finals.
Onkas in a canter over the Dorfers, but the Mags showing they have some fight after pushing lofty a bit the other week.
Uri's in a tight tussle at the midget ground, IB to stick with them most of the game but the Cabbage to pull out their signature 5-10 minute burst to break the game open. Game of the round.
Lofty to cruise at Lobey.
Bridgey by 5 goals, despite me hoping that Birdwood get a confidence win for next year.

i think the game of the round is between kersbrook and kangarilla for both divisions, my tip is for kangys to get up by 10 goals i know its a lot but they are playing awesome footy at the moment and they are at home. sorry to the kersbrook boys this week, the other good game this weekend ironbank and uraidla i think this will be close one but if it rains who knows but i think uraidla by 4 or 5 goals. ironbak will fight hard but hope its a close one

Apparently the thunderers have a player dropped from the B Grade this week who will not get a game in the C Grade grand final because he has played most of his footy in the Bs. Played 11 in the Bs (off the bench regularly) and 2 in the Cs and HFL morons will not allow him a permit to play for Cs. He will now not get to play any finals footy as he is not in the Bs best 21, especially towards finals when all players mysteriously have no injuries. An U17 lad has been brought in to C Grade to fill the team.

Can't believe HFL would be so stupidly stubborn for 'C' Grade Grand Final.

Monty has been in great touch for the last 8 weeks he played the 1st half of season with a broken hand. Not sure if he will be there next year probably he is enjoying winning a few more games.

Groverman was a overweight B grader at Barossa Districts when they were winning wooden spoons in both A & B grade so would hope he wouldnt make there best side .

3 qtr time IB 11 .5 Uraidla 10.7 Final score IB 11.6 Uraidla 17.17

Thats why they are the top of the ladder. As previously said on this forum you cannot drop your guard for any part of the game against them. Perhaps they were in cruise mode in the 3rd qtr when they were out scored 7.2 to 4.1.

Some points to mention, IB played without Muffy, Wendels did a great job on Brown restricting him two 2 goals, S Ebert worthy favourite for MM. No 31 for Uraidla, Josh Alskne as soft as they come with his cheap shots.

There was an air of arrogance within the Uraidla camp today. Cox not starting in the ruck, the attitude to running the ball out of defence plus comments from support staff and supporters. Don"t get ahead of yourselves, the flags not hanging on the wall yet !!

First time had see the Golden Whistle Fav Scott Bau in action and have to say disappointed in his performance. The print media and HFL have given him a huge wrap to date.

Thought that on a lot of occasions he was not prepared to make the tough decisions and opted for the umpires get out of jail card "My ball ".

All day he kept on calling out in the ruck contest "no holding" but chose to ignore it when it went on and every time a stronger player used his body for front position he called it a push in the back.

I would go so far as to say that at times it appeared he was intimidated by some of the more influential players on the ground.

Give me TM anyday, you can't beat experience.

Lobethal very dissapointing today, scored 5 goals between their 2 senior sides! No support off the ground, counted about 20 non Mt Lofty spectators, 2 people in the Bar! Long, Long road ahead before they are out of strife again.
We want Vaughn.
