so are you saying that if your recuits don't train both nights they maybe put in the B's, should they not have a good excuse for missing a session?

yes it is true, but Kangarilla also finished the game with 15 players on the ground.

Players were rested, so Gumeracha never had a disadvantage in that sense, not for long anyway, did not effect the result.

Looking at the Central ladder, Blackwood may very well be thanking their early-season percentage boosters for a top 5 finish, and Mt Barker the opposite...

Does anyone know what is happening with Ivan Silvy of Torrens Valley, I was thinking about taking a ride out to watch the great man put on a show, but haven't seen his name in the paper recently.. Is he still suiting up for TV?

Yeah Choppy and the coach wonders why they have been over run by opposition sides in recent weeks. Makes you ponder the future when the 'great man' decides he's had enough in the coaching caper. The exodus could be terminal?

Stirlo, a Silvy kicked 17 goals for TV the other week in the sunday mail . I watched Silvy play for Broadview going back a few seasons and he looked like he was very much a utilty type player with a long kick .

Hows Craig Young playing for Torrens Valley? Used to play with him in Colts at Crystal Brook years ago.

Thats a shame about Silvy's injury.
He was a dominant player for two wells. A few BLG pundits I know credit him with the success of the two BLG clubs he has played for in recent years.

Probably a fair call Stirlo , Silvy in a league the standard of the BLG would dominate , probably finding it a fraction tougher in the Hills league .

Did he ever play at a league club ?

I'd have to agree hills#fan- Mt Barker are perfectly poised to make the finals now as they have three very winable games (Lobey, Shanty and Birdwood) ahead after this week's massive game against Blackwood. Blackwood still have Onkas and Uris to go (plus Hahndorf, no gimme). Fair to say Blackwood are playing for thier season this week. Mt Barker v Blackwood definately worth a look this week (apart form the fact it is in Blackwood).

Cougar thanks. Is it fair to say then that your feelings and opinions of Birdwood are based on years of rivalry and emotion ?

Yeah he did play for Sturt, in his best days, but they have well and truly deserted him. Kicked 17 against the bottom side in the first game of the year, then hardly got a kick against Kersbrook the following week, and has been all downhill since then. So much in fact, that he started on the bench against Kersbrook in the Second Round. Looks disinterested and no where near fit enough. Not one of Gary Hughes better investments.
